TOTA (Tooting)

• Tota mixes urban cool with vintage overtones and I just love the decor
• The restaurant is laid back but also smart
• It is just a short walk from Tooting Broadway tube station and is already a local favourite
• We started with some crisp calamari bites
• A special of Asian style pork belly with fried rice
• The burger passed the test with a juicy patty
• The pork belly was a bit of miss
• The pork belly itself was nice but unnecessary
• Accompanying pork rib was dry and tasteless
• The other mains were generous and all customers looked reasonably happy so I may give Tota another go and see if there's any improvement
• The restaurant was dimly lit and so cosy &ndash
• Perfect when it was cold and raining outside
• A certain husband had promised to bring my camera from home with him and forgot
• ) So I had to make do with my camera phone
• I stumbled upon Tota (around a 2 minute walk from Tooting Broadway tube station) after confusing myself with finding the Tootopia venues around Tooting
• Lovely cafe / restaurant with small outside area for people watching
