Suzu (Hammersmith)

• Fried chicken cubes and fired octopus are fantastic evening 'tapas' starters
• (my favourite is the 'Godzilla' melt in your mouth salmon topped spicy rolls
• The service is great and so is the environment
• You won't be disappointed this is 5 star on all counts
• The dining room is a simple affair
• Surely Japanese cuisine is established enough that it does not need embellishing with the term &ldquo
• Nigiri of mackerel had quite good flavour (12/20) but the eel seemed a little flabby (11/20) and tuna nigiri was also distinctly uninspired
• I was disappointed that the rice was not at the correct tempetarture
• Sushi rice in Japan is always served at between body and room temperature
• I noticed that the chef/owner was actually out front chatting to some friends
• The chef today (Peter) perhaps could have done with more supervision
• Tempura prawn was decent enough
• The batter was rather heavy (11/20)
• Then the food was nothing special either
• Service was charming and certainly the place seemed popular with the locals
• I can only assume it was from here as I went here for lunch and ordered Pork Katsu curry and rice for takeaway
• Maybe that was a one off and is worth the risk
• The service and the quality of the food was definitely satisfactory
• With the locals instead of the venues where the touristic crowd is humming behind and the dish is just a commodity
• The Eel sushi with cooked eels and the most marvellous sauce ever is likely to exceed the fame of Godzilla rolls
• Suzu (Hammersmith) is tucked away very nicely on the main hammersmith road
• A little congested but if you are just there to enjoy a good
• When I was told that we are going to a Japanese
• Were happy with their choices
• Good taste try some asparagus and chicken they are very delicious
