Spice Village (Ilford)

• A plethora of dishes are offered at this all you can eat buffet and the eatery can be generous with the amount of meat in some of its dishes
• The dishes are super bland
• Often taste the same as each other and are drowned in oil
• One could be convinced that all the meat dishes originate from the same single curry and only differ from each other by the vegetables that are added to them at the end of the cooking process
• I felt that they were all made from the same base curry and not individual curries cooked to genuine dedicated recipes
• Everything is cooked in a very basic and uninspiring spice mix
• The meat dishes were so bland that I even considered giving up my carnivorous ways and becoming a vegetarian
• The chicken and peppers curry dish was effectively

• Spice Village (Ilford) is usually packed out and most of the diners here unbelievably do not mind the bland and oily food and seriously go all out on the all you can eat buffet
• Punjabi food is traditionally great and offers some of the best deeply flavoured meat dishes in the sub continent
• Especially for large gatherings and also when you are feeling ravenously hungry
• Spice Village Ilford is one such restaraunt that is attempting to improve the dining experience for buffet enthusiast
• As it is still a buffet restaurant and catering for the masses is no simple feat
• Some dishes are still standard fare
