Simpson's in the Strand - Savoy Hotel (Strand)

• The menu is varied but the highlight is their Roast Rib of Scottish Beef (aged 28 days) that arrives on the silver trolley
• A waiter will come with a warm basket of bread and offer you a choice of bread warm
• Then out arrives the silver trolley with that beautiful roast carved at table
• Yorkshire pudding and horseradish is offered as well as a hearty serving of gravy
• I would go back just for pudding it is truly spoon lickin' perfection
• Dad and I opted for a pudding sampler (for 2) and were not disappointed
• Our favourite was their Simpson's Treacle Pudding with Vanilla Custard
• The food is still an absolute highlight with quality ingredients and generous portions but when the service is moderately adequate

• The serving trolleys are almost large enough to apply for EU membership
