Salvador & Amanda (Bloomsbury)

• The other night I was invited along to a media dinner at Salvador &
• Considering the launch was the night before
• A dimly lit room with tables set for two and a romantically set long table for our twelve person dinner
• The restaurant is appropriately named after Salvador Dali and his muse
• This was exquisite and was served with salted Marcona almonds and bread with pure Spanish olive oil
• Creamy filling of sweet crab meat was absolutely delicious
• We were served sauteed wild mushrooms with garlic and a poached
• Cornish scallops with cauliflower puree and raisins
• Our last tapas was certainly not least
• Chorizo Lollipops with quince aioli
• Pieces of chorizo which had been battered and fried were skewered to be dipped in a quince aioli
• Salty chorizo and sweet quince aioli were a divine creation that gave a whole new meaning to the word lollipop
• Roast Suckling pig served with new potatoes and broccoli
• I have had a lot of desserts in my life and it is very rare that I stumble across a pudding that makes me say
• This chocolate fondant with coffee ice cream and candied almonds made me exclaim in pure delight WOW
• With each bite there was a sweet crunch of candied almond
• Thursday night was my third visit to one of their two restaurants
• We were excited to see the menu was nearly identical
• I never even mentioned my January experience because it was one of my first food blogging attempts
• Some of the dishes you get there are Pulpo &lsquo
• Con Alcaparras (Galician style octopus with capers and smoked paprika) Carrilleras de Cerdo con pure de patatas y mostaza (Braised pork cheeks with mustard mash) and Calamares
• We saved tons of money with our Tastecard because Salvador and Amanda offers such amazing deals
• S Covent Garden location was a bit better
• The gambas was a tiny oottion( 5 small prawns) and very salty
• The rest of the food was all deep fried except for the jamon
• The prices were only reasonable when using a taste card 50% off should be that price anyway I thought
• We ordered desert chocolate fondant was so good we ordered it again
• Starting the year as I mean to go on with another restaurant visit to share
• I told the waitress that when I booked I was told we would be sat on the mezzanine level downstairs
• At the end of all the saga and the tables had been moved we was in the same position as when we started and no additional room had been made
• To release we was charged full price for drinks any way
