Rocket (City of London)

• There are a good range of classic cocktails and a nice range of food with daily specials
• Turf salad' in the past (a massive plate with perfectly pink steak and crispy fried seafood)
• Their pizzas are not to be missed out on
• Where city amalgamates with trendy Shoreditch
• Bankers in their suits rub shoulders with East hipsters
• Perhaps it is due to being so near the city
• It does feel a bit 'dry' with no outstanding quality to make you go back
• A few beautifully cooked large deep fried tiger prawns and calamari on a bed of salad with green beans
• The salad on its own was big enough as a main for lunch
• They have a great vibe and the Bishopsgate bar is buzzing in the middle of the week
• The restaurant is funky and modern with retro space invaders finding their way onto the walls
• One of the lovely things about London is that you can travel the world without ever going anywhere
• Recently as house prices are ever more increasing and becoming progressively unaffordable for your average couple
• This in turn means that we are eager to make the most of our cosmopolitan life in the capital in the mean time
• A couple of weeks ago we were delighted when we were asked to pop into Rocket and try their Italian Asian Infused menu
• The chick pea cakes are soft and served with fresh veg
• It's quite a large size with a generous helping of fresh rocket and chicken pieces that are tender and flavoursome
