Rasa N16 (Stoke Newington)

• Rasa is a good option for Indian cuisine and probably the best in Stoke Newington
• The interior is a blend of strong colours
• The set recommended menu is not the best option
• The starters with nan bread and different kinds of sauces are very good but the rest of the courses were not the best choice
• Though I recommend a stop by if you are in the area
• The prices are extremely reasonable
• The flavours are authentic and the service is good
• I was pleasantly surprised with the experience and the amount of awards that this restaurant acclaims
• The other dishes were very flavoursome but I feel we ordered badly
• Ended up accidentally with a pineapple curry and the paneer one was a bit lacking in paneer
• Went here because our usual the royal four doors away was shut due to a burst pipe
• Didnt know it was vegetarian but didnt mind as i like onion bahjis
• Mixed breads and a pudding which was a runny rice pudding with cinnamon into which had been put an incredible amount of sugar making it sickeningly sweet
• I thought being vegetarian was going to be a healthy option not if you eat here it aint you'll be dead at 50 lol
• Went to Rasa N16 (Stoke Newington) because it was only serving vegetarian
• Environment is nice and reservations are definitely necessary
• The problems were the sambar and the chutney
• The sambar was bitter and the chutney quite tasteless
• The masala was a little bland
• The service staff was polite and attentive
• We also had fun chatting with our neighbouring diner and helping her navigate the menu to make the right order
• Had their masala dosa and it was just delicious
• The masala inside the dosa had perfect spices and the sambar was just finger licking good
• Their service was on time and the staff was courteous too
