The place had won some time out guide awards as well but in my humble opinion Kadiri's (Willesden) is just over hyped
-
We had it at a friend's place who is a big fan of Kadiri's (Willesden) for biryani only
-
Mutton and the vegatarian biryani served with raita(curd) and salad
-
Is typically suited for one person (comes with a salad on the plate)
-
The last variation is the family version suited for a bigger group
-
We went for the mutton biriyani and were very very pleased with the flavour
-
The aroma and the texture of the biriyani was perfect and I would definitely recommend Kadiri's (Willesden) to anyone who misses a good biriyani in London
-
It's well reviewed by the locals as a the best around so I found myself in North West London on a Saturday evening and decided to make the trip
-
Upon entering I was surprised by the size
-
It's really small and I was expecting a restaurant with a better dé
-
Almost felt like a high street take away with a few seats
-
I also ordered an allo chat which was very disappointing
-
This is because only medium and upwards are served in a clay pot
-
Not how I expected it another dinners where getting there's served on a clay pot with a flame underneath keeping it warm
-
A minute later he came back with my Biryani
-
Had a mixture of flavours but it was lacking in texture and didn't have that x factor
-
I come from city of nawabs Lucknow and biryani is very close to my heart
-
One family was making there way out and I was walking in
-
I was being courteous and was holding the entry door
-
When I realised that my wife is stuck in the entrance
-
Restaurant interiors is nothing catchy
-
We were the only one in the restaurant so thought of sitting in 4 chair table just to stretch our legs but we were asked to move to 2 chair table
-
I'm not big fan of biryani with small boneless chicken pieces
-
I love biryanis with 'tangdi' or 'thigh' pieces
-
Really makes you feel that you are having chicken
-
We finished the Chicken Biryani and ordered Mutton Biryani as we were still craving for more food (not because we so loved it but because we were hungry)
-
So I will only recommend Kadiri to those who want to eat in a well known restaurant and it doesn't matter to them whether the food is actually delicious
-
Dine in experience was not that good
-
An horrific accident (which I am glad to say was without fatalities) snarled up our journey home from the cafe today and so there was only one thing for it ditch the motor and grab a bite
-
By the time we were ready to order
-
Beautifully presented in a house shaped box may I add and the phone was ringing off the hook
-
Deeply flavoursome lamb parcels were the real deal
-
Potatoes and lentils encased in a thin and delicious pastry along with a portion of shamee kababs
-
Lentils and chilli with a crispy egg coating
-
The texture and spices of which were just heavenly
-
One of the best biriyanis in London Town
-
The lamb biriyani is an absolute must
-
The missus loves the raita (comes standard with the meal) but we tend to order a large tub along with the tarka dhal
-
Kadiri's (Willesden) is fairly popular and small so be sure to book
-
Unarguably the best biryani I have had in London and a must for all the biryani lovers
-
I tried Shami kebab and Lamb Biryani both were equally good
-
To be fair it is not at par with Biryanis I have had in India
-
Absolutely disappointed with the quality and taste
-
Its a cheap curry mixed with rice is what they call as biryani
-
Kadiri's (Willesden) was recommended to me by a few friends
-
Was told that it was great food and the biryani was the best biryani in town
-
I went recently with my little brother on Eid
-
Atmosphere was warm and welcoming
-
One big table was even reserved
-
I'll start off with the biryani
-
It didn't exceed expectation but it was still pretty good
-
Thats what it is half a plate enough for one person
-
The mixed grill was off the charts
-
All the meats were full of flavour
-
The mutton chops and tikka wings are the reason you should come here
-
Other meats where damn good too but this was just too much
-
The customer service was good and food didn't take too long either
-
The mutton chops and mix grill are the reason you should come here of you ask me
-
I have not tried them all but those that I have tried are really tasty
-
Or ordered and had praise from people I was eating with) are the bitter gourd and lentil dish (Masala Karela Dahl Burji)
-
Butter chicken wings (cooked with absolutely loads of ginger)
