Pho Viet 68 (Shoreditch)

• The danger is style over substance
• Clearly they are attempting to please the Shoreditch masses
• I must have missed something because the place is relatively full and the crowds seem quite satisfied
• Instead I'm presented with some under spiced (and clearly not marinated) chicken wings with a side of salad leaves and herbs
• The crepe itself is fantastic but the dripping wet leaves (I'm glad they were washed but they created a pool of water in my plate) and underspiced fillings are a let down
• It's early days but competition for Vietnamese food is tough in this part of town
• Added some spicy sauce that went well nicely with juicy meat and refreshing veg
• I was lucky to go in with a friend who knew what she was ordering
• We ventured out on one of the courses that was really bad
