Oi Hanoi (Whitechapel)

• Best Viet beer selection and the produce is what sets them a cut above
• I would like to think I have a good judge of what is good Vietnamese food
• Cheap price and good food are its biggest assets (and frankly the only assets you need if you just want to grab a quick bite on a budget)
• Bought the sticky pork and rice with complimentary green tea
• I wussed out at the last minute of ordering at the counter and ended up with some pork belly Banh Mi which was nice enough
• I did manage to pilfer some of the missus' Banh Cuon which was definitely a much better shout lots of flavour and decent portion side
• Overall then Oi Hanoi is fine but I still have the nagging feeling that if it just stuck to bossing lunch or committed itself to be a more formal dining spot it would be immeasurably better
• When they'd had kitchen problems and it was gonna be fifteen minutes
• The salmon summer rolls are my favourite
• It's the latter that will make trying the rest of the menu more difficult with so many favourites
• Our table tried a few dishes and they were all very good
