Patisserie Valerie (Soho)

• The decor is pure 1950's Soho and the cafe is still popular with art students from nearby Central Saint Martins College
• Patisserie Valerie is considered the best place in Soho to get breakfast
• Lovely place to come with friends or alone for a cake &
• My favourite cakes are mille feuille &
• Only criticism is I really don't like their cheesecake
• This is my place for dessert the cakes are out of this world
• The strawberry gateau is one of the best but the coffee's tend to be a let down which is a pity but lots of places tend to have rubbish coffee's
• The cakes here are stupendous
• The delicious cakes are about £
• The coffee selection is great and the atmosphere is wonderful
• While this branch is charming and inviting
• The cup and milk were tossed on the table and no one ever came to check on us
• This is a lovely quaint spot with some absolutely lovely croquet and sandwiches
• Pancakes that fit my preference are quite hard to find as most places usually have them made very thick and often out a dollop of butter on them that disintegrates the pancake
• The ambiance is so lively and French
• The walls are adorned with quaint old times posters and more often than not I see people having high tea here
• Friday nights are great because the people watching is fascinating
• I remember having breakfast with their fab croissants in the 80s
• Their cakes are still beautiful to look at
• Their afternoon tea is soumptous and very good priced
• Sandwiches were fresh and tasty
• Chocolate gateaux is definitely a paradise for chocoholics
• This slice is heavenly and it was so smooth as I put my spoon through it
• Coffee here was pretty basic
• The coffee was button push from machine so quite disappointing
• I tried the Selva gateau a fruity mix which did go well with the coffee
