One Square Bar - The Sheraton Hotel (Old Town)

• After a couple of gins at their specialist gin bar (and more than one dish of deliciously smokey almonds) my dining partner and I were very pleasantly surprised by not only the standard of cooking
• The crab cake starter was a real hit the only fault we could find was presentation which was rapidly overlooked when I realised this was because it was nearly 100% crab
• Was soft and succulent with not a trace of oil in sight
• The tangy lime mayonnaise was a perfect accompaniment
• The main course I chose the lamb Wellington and was delighted to find tender pieces of pink lamb hidden inside the crispy pastry
• T have been surprised if there was a garden hidden behind the kitchen
• So we valiantly ordered a citrus fruit jelly with gin and tonic sorbet
• The After Eight bomb has to be seen a glorious sphere of chocolate slows dissolves as hot chocolate sauce is poured over it to reveal a light and subtly minty almost mousse like ice cream
• The service is pretty good too
