• The vegetarian roast was generous and tasty
• The sausage roll on the bar snacks menu is a must try
• Be sure to book way in advance as they are always in demand
• The sharing platters are a great option if you are just looking for a snack to go with your drink
• Highlights of the mains menu include the chicken and pesto pasta which is subtle and delicious
• 22 is pricey but deliciously well cooked and comes with thick chips and indulgent onion rings
• The flavors are all there the goats cheese sandwich is especially good and the potato wedges with cheese and truffle oil are lovely
• Surprisingly good food with none of the seemingly de rigeur pretensions of gastro pubs
• It was really refreshing to see that The Narrowboat is such a dog friendly gastro pub
• Recently went to one of their Doggy Brunches (which are in aid of local dog charities) and there were dogs wandering round the pub and others curled up in cosy armchairs
• The brunch was plenty and tasty
