Mudmee (Spitalfields)

• The restaurant is nothing if not small and tables are placed quite close together and due in part to its popularity
• The menu itself is predominantly Thai inspired but as with most Asian places
• Personal favourites of my are the pad thai
• All delicious and at prices that won't break the bank which in the heart of the City of London is refreshing
• I had a 2 course meal for 2 with soft drinks for £
• Vegetarians are well looked after too
• Not quite dim sum but the one pork dumpling dish we had was probably the best of the bunch
• Because there is no electronic system
• Hairdressers and other surprises which are quaintly hidden away from the busy access area to Liverpool Street station and this is home to Mudmee
• We were greeted by a confident tiny woman who was obviously in charge
• We settled on a corner table and were given the menus to study
• Knew that we were in for a two courser
• All the thai favourites are here and with the kitchen within our eyeline
• Water chestnut wrapped with a delicate wonton skin with taramind dipping sauce
• We also ordered king prawns marinated in garlic and coriander root wrapped with rice pastry served with sweet chilli sauce
• Main course it was the obligatory pad Thai
• It is made up of stir fried rice stick noodles with king prawns
• Sometimes you can have it with a bit of a kick with chilli
• Is heavily populated with Vietnamese restaurants
• Ran by a Thai team with non nonsense decor or service
• Their nasi goreng are absolutely amazing
• I have try several dishes here and they are all delicious
• Lunch express is great value
• Most staff members are very nice and pleasant to me

• Similar to this staff member (I'm guessing he is from Thailand originally)
• Only happens with one specific staff member (older Thai man)
• I can't help but notice how discourteous he is to the non white customers
• Mudmee (Spitalfields) serves one of the best Thai food in London
• The food is awsome and the price is not very high
