Spicy Basil (Kilburn)

• One of the best restaurant but they don't do home delivery to nw10 piss me offff
• The restaurant's decor certainly wasn't something to rave about (despite getting a recent refurbishment) and the place was extremely crowded with quite a limited number of seats
• Given that this is Thai cuisine that shouldn't come as much of a surprise
• The service was great and everything was served relatively quickly considering the amount of people in the place
• All the meat is halal and there are also a number vegetarian choices on the menu
• You can't go wrong with the king prawn pad thai and green chicken curry
• I know Kilburn is not the most salubrious place in London and neither is it know as a culinary hot spot
• Spicy Basil matches its surroundings being basic with the distinct look of converted fish and chip shop
• The hand written sign on the door saying 'cash only' did make me wonder if there was a car with the engine running round the back
• Inside it was busy and bustling with people waiting to sit and happy waiting staff rushing about
• We were sat at the end of a table which was comfortable enough
• The smell of the food hits you the second you walk in and this is a good thing
• It really reminded me of those little basic cafes in Thailand were it doesn&rsquo
