  • Mosob is an Eritrean restaurant serving up East African food a cuisine which is surprisingly not as wide spread among high street restaurants

  • The food is very good and the staff here will happily take the time to explain to you what's the best items on the menu and which stuff to try out as a beginner to the cuisine

  • I think this is probably the best I have had so far very good experience overall

  • The style in which it is served and eaten was all fabulous

  • What has ensured that I will be going back again and again was the service

  • The owner helped us order when all we told him was that we want &

  • The beauty of Eritrean cuisine is that it fills you up in a beautifully slow pace and voila

  • We were also kept busy with geography questions

  • Eritrean food is a must try and Mosob is the best place in London you'll be overwhelmed with the warmth and care of the food and the family that runs it

  • Because it is a family run restaurant

  • (It's like pizza doe with mince meat or cheese or thyme or spinach) they're real good and a must try

  • The service was slow but the staff were very friendly

  • The okra and potato were great however the spinach and chickpea stew were disappointing

  • Walked past it so many times until I was recommended to try it

  • The ambience is almost like a walk through a cultural restaurant

  • Doro wot with injera is the standard recommendation

  • 'Hidden gem' is an overused epithet but one that Mosob's (tucked away in an unassuming corner of Maida Vale) is richly deserving of

  • London is filled with over hyped

  • We started with the falafel which was nice but not especially remarkable

  • We finished our meal with some incredible Ethiopian coffee

  • Our vegetarian friends too have been quite happy with the options available and the kids LOVE their gelato

  • One of the sharing plates is actually good for even 3 4 people

  • The sharing plate is a combination of injeera

  • The lentils are lovely and I'm surprised at how good they make green leafy vegetables taste without adding cheese

  • The service is very good too

  • Or try the cochalime in the Sexy Mosob a mojito style drink with cachaca and cocalime

  • The key spice is Mit mita made out of the local Ethopian chilli and Berbere

  • They retail this at this most awesome restaurant we were about 10 of us some veggies and some meat eaters and the food was fantastic

  • The owner is in most nights and he explained that the recipes they use are his mothers

  • Made complete sense since you've come to dine with your family or friends and dont want to hear people talking loudly on their cellphones

  • While we waited for our food the staff kept us involved with some games that were really interesting

  • Everything was super delicious and we were offered free tea to end our meal

  • The only negative I would say is that we had a to wait a long while for our food

  • Especially the room at the back with the traditional decor and low tables

  • Since it was out first time trying Eritrean/Ethiopian cuisine we were explained the menu and how the dishes are served and supposed to be eaten

  • The dishes are served on a big tray/plate with the traditional sourdough bread/pancakes on the side

  • Basically you are eating with your hands using pieces of the bread as cutlery

  • The only thing that is a little bit of an acquired taste is the bread (injera) as it traditionally has a specific sour taste

  • You can have your meal with either rice or pita bread instead

  • A must try for desert is the traditional coffee serves with baklava and

  • The whole atmosphere is very nice and you will be definetly full afterwards
