Mango Room (Camden Town)

• Lucia for 2 years and being completely in love with the Caribbean (who wouldn't)
• I went to rekindle my romance with the tropics in an evening of a biting cold easterly wind in London
• I ordered my starters Tiger prawns with pineapple salsa and Saltfish with plantain and sweet peppers
• I could hear the waves only to realise that was my watering mouth
• SWEET MOTHER OF GOD were the starters yummy or what
• The mains in Lunch I recommend the Creole snapper with mango and green peppercorn sauce and Pork loin with jerk sauce and pak choy
• Make it a perfect Caribbean rhapsody by ending it with Mango and Banana Crè
• I must say I was quite impressed
• Lucia and simply fell in love with the Carribean cuisine
• The dining room is candle lit and very romantic
• If you want to eat at a high end Caribbean restaurant with great food
• Mango Room is based directly next to the overground station
• So perhaps they are carrying this tradition through however outside is a busy crossroads rather than a dusty crossroad leading down to a beached paradise
• The food here is overall good
• The fried plantain was slightly chewy but the curries and roti are delicious
• Would have been happier with 4 for the money
• Delicious smokey chicken with just enough zing
• Roti bread was disappointing
• Overall if your searching for a authentic carribean then this is not the place
• They'd been before and told me how brilliant it was and I happily agreed to go along
• I'm always adventurous with food often trying new things but curry goat had me worried for a while
• I was assured of how nice it was and had it a go
• What I can say is if your got reservations about trying it
• The food is also very very good and the portions are quite filling too
• I would highly recommend Mango Room (Camden Town) because it surely is a must go place
• Mango Room (Camden Town) is extremely saddening
• The food here is great and quite unmatched
• My personal favorite is the goat curry
• This time around it was slow and the staff was very inattentive
• The ambiance here is very lovely
• I had to call twice to book the table and even after that I was not entertained
• The dishes here are lovely though and once again if you love eating at a great place then Mango Room (Camden Town) is surely for you
• Served as though they were obliging me
• Probably it was a little bit difficult for me as i couldn't eat much due to strict health restrictions
• Given that the food in everyone's opinion was pretty nice
• In spite of that the food is above average
• I would recommend Mango Room (Camden Town) only to someone who is okay with a not so modern interior
• The presentation was even worse
• The washrooms were also not in a usable condition
• The desserts are avoidable as they are very mediocre in taste and are definitely overpriced
• The goat curry was the star of the evening as it was perfectly cooked
• The service and the presentation of food is what is lacking at the restaurant
• The waitress was obnoxious and the presentation was not up to the mark
• The drinks menu here was quite good with some interesting cocktails
• The service however was a bit slow
• As the staff was still friendly and helpful
• The portions were of a great size
• As such we were terribly full
• The interiors are well done with beautiful decorations and such
• The restaurant offers the best Caribbean food i have ever had
• The ambiance of the restaurant is cool and fun
• The atmosphere is inviting and intriguing
• The maple syrup washed with couple of red stripe beers was the winner out of everything we ordered
• The goat meat melt in my mouth and was uterly delicious and tender
• We were quite happy with this gem of find in this locality
• They surely do lack customer service and I was not expecting this type of error from a well organized place
• My starters were offered to the people who already had their starters
• After this all mishap the manager came to us and blamed us that because of me only the food was ordered at a wrong table
• Avoid Mango Room (Camden Town) until they do something with their staff
• The food here is absolutely delicious and delightful
• The quality of the food is also good and it is prepared well
• The quantities are a bit small for the price
• The starters were great and Mango Room (Camden Town) has some great sea food options
• The service is impeccable
• The Ebony chicken wings I had for appetizers were fantastic and perfectly prepared
• Ordering snacks is a good idea as the portions are small
• The love and romance is contagious
• I began my meal with a very tasty Jamaican mule and pumpkin soup
• My main course was of a special including baked salmon and curry sauce
• The service was a little relaxed
• The cuisine they offer is different in a way and dishes are decent
• Nothing over the top but is good enough
• The best place to try and relish Caribbean food is this restaurant
• I recommend trying the Planter's Punch and the side dishes are also quite amazing
• The creme brulee is a must try
• The service was quite bad and the food was very expensive
• The quality of food was quite average and must say I have had better quality of food at other places
• The service is prompt and the staff is both attentive and professional
• We had particularly enjoyed the rum punch which was delectable
• The prices are on a steep side but worth it
• I recently tried Mango Room (Camden Town) with one of my friends and was pleasantly surprised with the Caribbean experience
• The service is amazing and the staff is quite warm and friendly
• The wine selection is quite awesome as well
• I had the curry goat and it was absolutely authentic and full of flavour
• Cosy atmosphere with a wonderful upstairs space that I would definitely consider for future parties or events
• Definitely go again and hopefully soon there was so much on the menu I wanted to try
• I am a big fan of caribbean food and for my starter I had the pumpkin soup with parmesan cheese
• The curried goat was as promised and I also ordered a take away of the same for home
