London Chinatown (Chinatown)

• I guess that normal is a good word to discribe the restaurant
• My very fussy girlfriend loved her dish too (fried noodles with sea food) which is a very good sign
• Its Friday night so as you can imagine everywhere is super busy
• We found London Chinatown rather quickly and as it was bustling with people we thought hey this must be good
• We joined the queue and soon enough we were the next to be seated
• When we get led to our table the previous people are still getting ready to get up and leave
• Both of these dishes are basically your average Chinese meal
• After almost another half an hour later where everyone has been served and are coming to the end of their meal my main finally comes
• The prawns were bland apart from the taste of grease/fat
• Once again the only taste coming through was that of grease
• Felt like they were rushing us
• Neither of us speak or read Chinese and secondly where is a printed bill
• I don't know how many of you are aware of the fact that you don't legally have to pay service charge and i sure as hell wasn't going to pay extra money for leaving hungry and sick
• Felt rushed and the food was well below standards
• My experience in this restaurant was beyond negative and i would not recommend to anyone
• The waiter who served us was the rudest person I've ever come across and he was leathered
• I come from a city were amazing Asian cuisine is abundant
• Many months I was trying to find some decent dim sum but even that was proving difficult (not to mention it's hard to find evening dumplings that's not Ping Pong Blerghkk
• Flavourful and was fresh when I attended
• In the spirit of Chinese New Year we were looking for a place to eat Chinese food despite the crowds and the madness
• As my primary goal was to find a set menu with aromatic duck we pretty much went for the first place that had it and did not have another 20 people queuing outside
• The mixed starter was pretty good although the ribs need hands (or a chopstick miracle) which can get a little bit messy
• The aromatic duck was awesome although we could have done with a few more veggies for the wraps
• Sweet and sour prawns and stir fried veggies with egg fried rice
• The veggies and the chicken very juicy and yummy but the star was definitely the prawns
• The service was very quick and efficient
• I assume they were focusing on getting people in and out as quickly as possible (not rushing them
• Just not making anybody wait) and the waitresses were very polite
• It's clearly a place that caters for everyone which is to be expected
• While I don't think the place stands out as a unique experience I think it operates at a good standard and it's great for when you are looking for a place to sit down quickly and eat without any fuss
• T far from Chinatown where there are an abundant of restaurants seemingly offering the same menu from one another so we plumped for London Chinatown
