  • I visited the Larrik for the first time for a weekend brunch with some friends

  • I imagine it is full of suits and business crowds Monday Fridays

  • The place was also quite clearly family friendly with lots of children and young families present having brunch

  • A side room that can be closed off with a curtain was also visible

  • May serve as a nice area to have a private dinner or celebration and the decor is simple but tasteful and warm enough to feel homely

  • The menu is much too predictable even if you are going for standard good old British pub fare

  • There is more that can be done with a menu to either jazz up the menu or to offer top notch quality keeping things simple

  • The piri piri chicken skewers were tender and well seasoned but the trio of sausage rolls was very disappointing I found 2 out of 3 of them completely unpalatable

  • I ordered a Caesar salad for main and have never found a Caesar salad I dislike but this one was much too covered in mayo and the smell of anchovy was over bearing

  • Enough for the whole group) and it was satisfying

  • A nice balance of toppings and was devoured in no time at all

  • I must state though that the members of our group who ordered burgers and fish and chips seemed far more satisfied with their meals so if you are heading here for food

  • Wooden table with mismatched chairs and a chilled soundtrack playing unintrusively in the background

  • Two perfectly poached eggs with oozy centres that dribbled over the spongy bread and salty spinach

  • Whilst this dish was humble in size

  • A crispily battered cod fillet the size of my arm or a generously sized fishcake served towering atop asparagus spears and drizzled with a creamy sauce are all on offer

  • Strongly recommended for a chilled afternoon catch up with some easy going people
