  • You enter into a long corridor like room with nice lighting &

  • Went there with my girl friends recently and we sat there for a good two hours talking and even if it was a late booking

  • One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to in London

  • Given the location Isarn is definitely one of the best options when it comes to Thai food

  • The ambiance is nothing amazing

  • A long narrow room with tables on both sides

  • The white and wood decor was ultimately pleasant

  • Service is attentive as in most good Asian restaurants and they were happy to serve us even if the kitchen was about to close

  • We started with a classic Tom Yum soup and a rather more exotic crispy duck in betel leaf

  • The duck with pomelo and betel leaf was a new but interesting flavour

  • Creamy and flavoursome with nice chunks of tender chicken in it

  • We finished the meal with a refreshing mango sorbet

  • 20 per person with a starter and a main each

  • Amazing Thai food with a great range of dishes at a very reasonable price

  • This restaurant makes the best chocolate pudding I've ever tasted

  • The staff members were all Thai and service was great

  • So it was my husbands b day and wanted to try out a new place so headed to prawn on the lawn was a but let down by the ambience so decided to have main course at Isarn

  • Was blown away with the welcome

  • He said it was the best pork ribs he s had full of Thai flavours and my roast duck curry had pineapples in them it was wonderful

  • This Thai restaurant on Upper Street in Angel is a real gem inside

  • This is the best I've had in London so far

  • The restaurant is not that big but it is rectangular and stretches out in the back

  • The food was good but the portions were quite small

  • The small portions are nice because that way you can try a bunch of things out but at the same time the portions here were a bit pricey

  • The ambiance was pretty cool (although I don't get the cowhide chairs in a Thai restaurant)

  • Loved the crispy fried chicken with sour green mango and hot chilis

  • The crispy snap peas with baby corn covered in a brown gravy was yummy and balanced the spicy chicken dish

  • My eyes had light up in the background and secretly I was hoping the SuperfoodieUK would say "

  • The Green Curry was the star for me though

  • Pad Thai Jay was equally good and they were happy to serve us some extra limes and Pik Nam Pla (without me having to explain what it was or why I can't say it correctly

  • Highly recommended is also the sticky coconut rice

  • Isarn (Islington) in Islington has some decent Thai food and the ambience of the restaurant is really nice too

  • Recommendation chicken in 3 flavour sauce with egg fried rice

  • Considering it was the hottest day of the year we can give them some space

  • Fried red snapper was not impressive at all

  • A scoop of coconut ice cream which was a great 4/5

  • Awful food a dish titled 'crispy duck' with three tiny morsels of shredded duck hidden amongst chopped vegetables

  • A great authentic selection of Veg and Non Veg menu with excellent service&rdquo

  • There are also special lunch deals which are very well grouped options and worth looking at

  • Menu selection is great with many options but not to the point you cant decide and also would then question the quality on offer

  • Also having a selection of both veg and non veg all great with no complaints

  • This is not supposed to be fine dinning or a fusion resturant but its one i would visit again as you know you and anyone you take with you will be happy and full

  • We sat by the window but there is a rear part to the restaurant also flooded with light from a glass atrium and although the resturant starts narrow it really has considerable space further down

  • There is also some nice accent lighting and good comfortable seating with various seating options available to meet any size party

  • I noted a few AC units which i assume also had heat pumps and we went the temperature was cold outside but comfortable inside

  • I would say the walls could do with some work to add some more ambience but overall a nice place and clean

  • Acoustics seemed to be good but as we went when it was empty it would be unfair to really comment too much about noise levels

  • I did not take a reading as we were the only people in the restaurant at the time so would not be relevant

  • Corn fritters with sweet chilli dressing Comes with two good sized fritters

  • A bit on the sticky side for the teeth but great taste and not overly spicy and a great starter with the sweet chilli dressing also a good complimentary sauce

  • Spicy chicken and dill soup A great fresh and spicy tasting broth with good amount of chicken

  • Vegetable thom yum A great soup with plenty of vegatibiles and spicy slightly sweet broth

  • Vegetable green curry with Thai aubergine

  • Bamboo shoot and sweet basil A good sized portion again a nice spicy tasting broth with good consistency of sauce and serve with rice

  • Very nice dish with plenty of flavour but a milder option than the others

  • Lemon cheesecake with strawberry ice cream A light refreshing lemon cheesecake and fresh strawberry ice cream

  • Menu selection and service was excellent with great friendly staff who were also very attentive

  • Given we went at a day and time it was empty so i cannot comment on a day with more covers but i would still highly recommend a visit for both people who are vegetarian and non vegetarian

  • If you are heading to Islington Upper Street is a wave of one restaurant after another but please do venture down and pop into Isarn (Islington) as you won&rsquo
