Homage - The Waldorf Hilton (Covent Garden)

• The whole experience was a feast for the senses
• Other than that the food was so fab that we have become fans of this restaurant no complaints at all
• Had to push back our reservation very last minute which they were completely fine with
• I had to push my reservation by half an hour very late in the day and they were fine with it
• The waiters were friendly and nice but the people are welcomed us to the restaurant and got our coats weren't that great I would say
• I was there on a groupon deal and I had a feeling they are not being that nice to us just because of that
• She directed me to the cloakroom where everyone's coat was neatly hung up and our coats were just thrown on a chair like they're rubbish
• I guess these are just boring details
• I went to celebrate Christmas with a small group of friends
• It was a lovely place and the staff were really attentive and helpful
• Most of us had the Christmas dinner which was lovely although those that had the Christmas pudding not particularly wowed with it
• A really nice place to catch up with friends though and I would recommend
• Were the exact words used when I told my friends I was going for dinner at the Waldorf
• Decor and ambience were all pretty much flawless and worth the ticket entry alone
• This of course essentially meant that there were two dinners tonight I would probably stick to eleven maximum if you were thinking of doing something similar
• As is typical with these things
• The special non alcoholic cocktail made for us was very nice though
• If all you are is hungry then I can think of a fair few places on that posh list of mine you'd be better off visiting instead
• The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the ambience was just right just like what you'd expect from Hilton
• We were a large set of people but the staff was extremely polite and helped us in settling down
• Roasted bronze turkey with a sage and cranberry stuffing
• Root veg mash with turkey and tarragon gravy for mains and Tradition Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and chunk chip ice cream for dessert
• The names frankly were quite fancy and I expected the world from them
• The starter was just about okay but what was more disappointing was the quantity
• The quantity again was very little but unfortunately the turkey was overcooked and was very hard
• The complaints persisted and the quantity of the dessert too was very little
• I must say the dessert was better than the rest of the items on my menu but then there was very little one could go wrong with a Christmas pudding
• All in all I must say that the experience left much to be desired and the cost was not worth the quality / quantity of the food nor the Hilton brand
