The Hamptons Bar - St. James' Court (Victoria)

• The Hotel bar is a very good place to have a drink before going to bed
• You automatically recieve complimentary chips and other snacks with your drink
• The bar has a relaxed atmosphere the staff is friendly and I truly deserved a tip
• The Royal Afternoon Tea served at the Hamptons Bar is truly regal
• A little walk around outside is definitely in order first
• The scones are the secret to the tea's success
• The sandwiches are commendable because they aren't the 'typical' afternoon tea offerings
• The pastries are almost too gorgeous to eat
• 20 per person The Hamptons Bar is towards the back of the entrance of the hotel
• There are around 6/7 tables with plush chairs and decoration
• As you arrive you are served with a selection of crisps and nuts/spicy crackers
• The high backed chairs were rather comfortable and spacious
• We started off with the selection of finger sandwiches
• * Coronation Chicken with Golden Sultanas
• My favourite amongst them was probably the coronation chicken which was creamy with a nice balance of spices
• Some of the sandwiches could have done with a bit more filling
• Otherwise there was quite a nice selection of ingredients used
• Finally at the top were the bright and colourful cakes and pastries
• We had a really relaxing afternoon filled with an array of indulgent delights
• How can one go wrong with a simple Caesar salad
• Especially if you are asked whether you want anchovies included and finding NO anchovies in said salad
