Dock Kitchen (Kensal Green)

• Coming from the home of Biryani Hyderabad (a contentious statement in itself and one that I'm sure would raise a few eyebrows) it is saying a lot
• I ordered a super Catalonia white wine have that with the Biryani and you'll be happy
• The first thing on my agenda was after work dining/drinking spots
• This unusual site is also home to Tom Dixon's (the furniture designer) shop so the restaurant is fully decked out with his furniture
• I believe we were even sitting on Tom Dixon chairs while we ate
• Last night's set menu was Sri Lankan themed
• Our waiter explained that this is representative of the restaurant's emphasis on experimental cooking
• After ordering we were brought bread to share dressed in olive oil and herbs
• The individual elements of the spring fatoush were good but the dish felt slightly disjointed
• We did some food swapping and theirs was also excellent
• Dessert we shared madeleines with blood oranges and chocolate with burnt salty honeycomb
• The menu didn't go into details about the form the chocolate took but it was a sort of thick mousse
• The madeleines were superb and went very well with blood oranges
• I'd say this was a great place to go

• Is a recipe book with travel information
• Dock kitchen is a refreshing restaurant
• The food and service are well worth it
• The cuisine can be best described as International
• The restaurant itself is very beautiful and spacious
• S most delicious duos was the focus of a recent interactive workshop led by celebrated Chef Dan Doherty with a one night only takeover of Ladbroke Grove&rsquo
