The Half Moon (Stepney)

• The price of the drinks here is quite inexpensive
• Taking in mind that this is London of course
• Food prices are in line with those of the drinks
• The burger was juicy and came with a good amount of chips on the side
• There's also an outdoor seating area which is excellent in the summer months
• My friend ordered the lasagne which came with a side salad and dressing and a drink she also got a Baileys
• Whilst I ordered the salmon fillet which came with hollandaise sauce
• I took it back to the bar to let them know and one of the ladies sorted it out straight away with jokes about the one who made the mistake
• The jacket potato was fine and the vegetables were nicely steamed
• My first time having food there and I think I'll avoid it unless I happened to order the wrong dish (it was curry day as well)
• I used to go there all the time back when I was doing my masters and have some late drinks before going home or a full English after a big night out
• Being in Victoria Park for fireworks night I thought I'd come back to this pub because I haven't been in the past two years and I was happy to see that it hasn't changed
• The Tennessee burger was one of my favourites and there are a lot of cheap drinks deals to cater for the student crowd
• In general I was happy I was back there and I still think it is a nice pub but the crowd does not match my current life stage (a bit over cheap shots and getting IDed)
• The only part of my meal that was juicy was my OJ lol
• The drinks are quite pocket friendly
• I've never had any problems with staff and have been nothing but friendly to them when ordering food
• I went here for an evening of food with my friends
• The barmaid was quite cold
• She later brought to me with a comment along the lines of "
• What happened next is what really bothered me
• My plate of burger and chips came with a piece of bacon on the side
• So why on Earth was I served bacon
• My experience was treated as if it was another everyday occurrence for them
• Several of my friends were witnesses to my experience
• Businesses cannot be getting away with such ridiculous behaviour
