Friends of Ours (Hoxton)

• 26 seats inside with 4 additional outdoor seats
• Pork belly benedict with brown butter hollandaise sauce
• The Friends of Ours is such a underrated brunch spot in London
• A friend of mine was coming down to London
• Note also that it is frightfully expensive
• We saw one of the waiting staff take off her shoe and clean it with a cloth that was later used to clean the booth(
• A couple actually finished their meal and left while we were still waiting
• By that time we were already half an hour in and all we got was a cup of coffee
• Starts talking about the incident with the rest of the staff
• We barely finished our food and asked for the bill which was brought by the lady who very kindly called me crazy
• I replied that it was obviously not good and that in any case
• The coffee was good (the food nothing special) and the service charge was taken off our bill but I'm never going back
• The kombucha smoothie bowl was a great choice for a summer morning
• The portions are not huge for these dishes but my dining companions ordering the souffle pancakes and beef brisket eggs had larger portions
