  • I would say the place has a decent atmosphere and the prices are still reasonable (not to mention the great value for the sushi)

  • Apart from the service which was completely shite they&rsquo

  • Were firing out the food at indigestion pace this is a real fiery dungeon of a restaurant

  • Is a bit top heavy for what is essentially Asian junk food

  • If you want a fun atmosphere with sharing plates this is the place to go

  • Etc all amazingly cooked with a burst of flavour and served on the side a small bowl of lettuce and shaved cucumber

  • The ceviche is fresh and vibrant

  • The dish i would recommend for everyone to order is Korean fried rice

  • Its a shame the staff are a bit arrogant

  • S'mores fire was great but too sweet

  • Had to share the booth with another group of people which was awkward

  • The waitresses was polite but a bit slow

  • Highly recommend the spicy Korean wings because they are just gorgeous

  • The cocktail list is also well worth a look for some quirky combinations

  • The service was friendly and I applaud our attentive waitress for keeping track of us amidst all the hustle and bustle

  • The toilets were definitely a good taking point

  • Re in Covent Garden and are craving for snack y food

  • The restaurant is underground and is not a huge establishment

  • So make sure you book ahead if this is your plan A place

  • T order much as we were not very hungry

  • Pork belly is cooked until super tender

  • Buns menu come with fresh lettuce and cucumber

  • Then generously stuff it with the &ldquo

  • Chocolate fondant with raspberry sorbet

  • Inside this unassuming looking chocolate cake is chocolate lava waiting to ooze out

  • A small bonfire is placed on the table for you to grill your marshmallows on

  • You make a sandwich by putting the grilled marshmallows between two biscuits with a sheet of green tea chocolate in the middle

  • It can get messy with the marshmallow oozing out while you&rsquo

  • Drinking and catching up with friends in London and I've now found the perfect place to do it

  • The people behind Bone Daddies have really hit the nail on the head with Flesh &

  • Rice crackers served with avocado shiso (like a guacamole) and a tomato jalapeno relish followed by a bowl of miso soup each

  • T really do it for me) were eaten before I even got a chance to photograph them

  • My waistline was bulging and I was getting a bit tipsy from the Prosecco

  • Once we'd admitted defeat our 'flesh and buns were brought over'

  • I went for the piglet belly with mustard miso sauce and pickled apple &ndash

  • The atmosphere is relaxed and lively and it&rsquo

  • My last post was a little sentimental

  • Our new dinning table is being delivered this weekend (cannot wait to not eat my dinner sitting on the floor)

  • We hadn't booked and so waited at the bar (no problem there) but were promptly seated (even though it was Friday night and heaving) on a long communal table

  • I can't say I was a fan of this as we were seated next to a very drunk 'couple' on their first date speaking in raised tones about their exs

  • The broccoli was crunchy and drenched in sauce (which was incredible)

  • The edamame well cooked if not slightly bland but the main (and what we came for) the buns were sensational

  • Two buns each and one plate of 'flesh' (ie duck) filled us both up quickly and was honestly amazing

  • The meal ended up costing us the same price as a wagamama and was an experience far superior

  • One of the best things about blogging is meeting new people and I'm lucky enough to have met so bloggers from different walks of life all with interesting stories to tell

  • That being said I was really excited to meet up with Andrea from Andrea's Passions and Kam from A Married Couple and Their Travels at Japanese restaurant Flesh &

  • I had the pleasure of meeting up with Angie from Silverspoon London and Andrea from Andrea's Passions (who I brunched at Granger &

  • The atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing and the vibe was laidback and casual

  • The temperature on the otherhand was ridiculous as the restaurant is located in a basement

  • There's literally no air flow and given we were in the midst of a heatwave

  • Lots of booths which are more intimate if there are more than 4 people

  • Two of which are Kam and Angie

  • S most renowned for is its DIY steamed buns

  • You fill yourself with the &lsquo

  • We had to wait slightly to be seated but the bar was a great place to wait (isn't it always)

  • We were also sat on one large table down the centre of the restaurant (like in Wagamama) as were many other couples but we happened to be put next to a couple on a first date

  • Flesh & Buns (Covent Garden) is a great place to hang out to begin with

  • Korean Japanese fusion is of a rather common cuisine combination but they definitely did it right

  • Korean fried chicken is very tender

  • Seafood ceviche was a more refreshing and a lighter starter among the 3

  • Fresh fish tossed in an amazing dressing topped with pickled red onion

  • It's a taste bud tingler with refreshing flavours

  • Beetroot was a great complement and the sauce is undoubtedly a partner in crime

  • Miso sauce was a nice flavour enhancing agent together with the pickled apple on the side

  • The texture is amazing together with a fruit sorbet that was very nice

  • Doughnuts was pretty good as well with a brown sugar custard filling

  • Stuffing the buns with salmon and salad is literally one of my favourite things to do on any given night

  • The most recent was the most disappointing

  • I can eat it with or without the bun

  • With salt on the rim) is always a good choice if you're in the mood to drink

  • Flesh & Buns (Covent Garden) is made for sharing

  • The Korean wings were also a major hit deliciously saucy whilst still maintaining crispy texture

  • The overall food and service were hit and miss but there were definitely gems to be found in the menu

  • The waitress was miserable and looked annoyed when she was asked a question regarding menu

  • The cervice was delicious and the chicken wings had a light crisp texture which is spectacularly perfect

  • The main I had the crispy duck which had the best crisp I've tasted on duck

  • The salmon teriyaki which was delicious but not my favourite after eating the duck

  • Dessert I had the doughnuts which are Devine and a must try as they are not greasy and they're not too sweet

  • I had the smores too which came with a fire to make your own

  • There was a chocolate dessert to but was not as breathtaking as the two abovementioned

  • At first I feared it was another westernised Japanese restaurant but that was not the case from my lunch experience

  • Both the quality of the ingredients and cooking were outstanding

  • Brought to us by Bone Daddies who have great reviews with the Ramen and Shackfuku

  • I got lost trying to find Flesh & Buns (Covent Garden) and asked locals shops where is flesh and buns but they had no clue what I was talking about

  • Turns out the restaurant is actually underground (so no wifi signal guys) it was soo packed and loud I couldn't hear the music

  • Because the booking that was available was 9pm

  • _ I gotta say the staff is very friendly and I love the toilets here

  • Flesh and Buns is a high quality restaurant in convent garden

  • High noise levels prevailed with the large number of diners and the echoey room acoustics

  • The menu is Asian inspired and we were very impressed by the high quality of the meat dishes and the preparation

  • The crispy duck leg and crispy piglet belly were highly flavoursome and falling apart from the slow cooking techniques applied

  • Apparently buns are not gluten free so SuperfoodieUK could not participate

  • I on the other hand was not leaving without trying the buns

  • Super tasty and my choice with duck leg was very generous

  • The suckling pig dinner was a fantastic evening

  • Last week my girlfriend and I went to Flesh and Buns which is right in the heart of the seven dials next door to the Donmar theatre in covent garden

  • The restaurant is located in the basement

  • At first i thought it was a little dark

  • The rule at these tables is everyone has to sit across from each other

  • This is too encourage you to interact with other people sitting either side of you

  • There is also a bar which is located at the far end of the restaurant

  • 46 pp the difference with the £

  • Each they are a decent size I ordered a flat iron steak and it was a whole steak and you then put your bun together

  • The dessert is then a chocolate fondant with biscuits and marshmallows which you cook over a charcoal fire

  • The location and venue are a great sight for both Londoners and tourists

  • From the starters which we were recommended to share such as Ceviche and Barruta to the sharing main courses of Pork Chop and Rib Eye Steak

  • The best part of my meal was the unique texture of the fresh buns

  • As there was 3 of us we were able to try each item off the menu

  • The sushi and cerviche was fresh and tasted fantastic

  • The meat for the buns were succulant and so tasty I also liked how we could build our own buns

  • The desserts are a must at Flesh & Buns (Covent Garden)

  • The donuts were crispy and chewy (ideal

  • ) The matcha ice cream in the sundae was faultless and that creme bruelle is unreal

  • The only faults I have are with the place itself

  • I found it to be too noisy (but it was very busy so can't really fault them too much luckily we had requested the round table instead of the communal bench in the middle)

  • One major dislike were the bathrooms as they were plastered with hentai

  • I believe there is a time and place for that and restaurants shouldn't be one of them

  • Except real izakayas are more like casual Japanese pubs where the food happens to be excellent whereas this is an expertly designed restaurant in Covent Garden

  • So the vibe is inevitably different

  • It's a fun place to go with foodie friends

  • The highlight here are the Bao with the respective fillings (mostly meats)

  • Also very good were the sake and the desserts that we had

  • Had a great night full of food and drinks and didn't walk away with a painfully large bill

  • Korean chicken wings this was super delicious and yummy

  • Slightly spicy but not too much and chicken wings were very tendy and juicy

  • Crispy duck we were contemplating between the duck or the pork belly

  • Not sure how the pork belly was going to be but the duck was not really a good choice

  • Ultimately slow cooked meat in a milk bun is rarely not going to be good

  • As you put them together yourself it is just meat in a bun

  • It all started with the Japanese ramen bar

  • They have also expanded their establishment with another two restaurants that specializes on a different aspect of Japanese cuisine

  • It is more than fair to say that we were not disappointed

  • Since I love chicken and meat so much I was in contact with different casual restaurants and found that many I contacted have halal items on the menu

  • When you come from Cape Town you manage your expectations when it comes to sushi joints in other cities and London was not going to be any different

  • While the food is well cooked and presented

  • So bookings and reservations are highly recommended

  • Food offered is Japanese and Korean

  • Sushi and sashimi are fresh and tasty

  • Spicy tuna rolls and salmon teriyaki are a must try

  • The buns out here are so damn soft that you can actually give the meat a miss

  • Im in love with the dumplings in Flesh & Buns (Covent Garden) and specially the shrimp dumplings with coriander

  • The salmon teriaki was fun to eat

  • That's the best way I can describe it

  • Yadokai sharing beer is divine and flows nicely with the buns (which are cheap to top up

  • I enjoyed the experience from start to finish and the staff were very attentive and friendly

  • This restaurant is a must try whenever in London

  • We also ordered the chicken yakitori which was very well flavoured and done

  • All the 3 dishes were amazing and they come with interesting small sides of different kind of pickles

  • We ordered extra buns as they were super fresh

  • I must say that the portions are not very generous
