Chino Latino - Park Plaza Riverbank London (Vauxhall)

• Ordered 3 between 2 of us and were pleasantly surprised
• Chino Latino is the restaurant at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel and as hotel restaurants go this is a winner
• Especially if you are into Pan Asian cuisine
• I believe the Latino part is meant to apply to the bar which does have a reasonable range of "
• Too big to be cosy and the service is rather slow
• The grilled scallops were also excellent
• The sashimi served with homemade wasabi was a treat
• They were a bit heavy handed with the salt though on a couple of other dishes
• The prices here are pretty steep and it is hard not to overindulge on the cocktails I would recommend the watermelon martini for dessert
• All in all this is seriously good Pan Asian food
• The font is too small and the lighting design is totally impractical

• The misleading name derives from the combination of far eastern fusion cuisine with a Latin Cocktail Bar and not the combination of Asian and Latin flavours
• Chino Latino is a slick and well healed success of fusion and not confusion
• The restaurant is located inside the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel on the Albert Embankment
• Is at odds with slightly strange mix of its clientele
• This arbitrary mix of diners is not very clubland
• Added to this is the habitual eerie emptiness of the place
• The resulting atmosphere is routinely underwhelming and sometimes soulless
• A good place to start the evening is at the star attraction Latin style bar
• The dining area is a more dimly light
• Diners are presented with the option of eating from the A&rsquo
• The Bento Boxes are available during lunch and from 6 7pm in the evening
• The Chino Latino concept places an emphasis on diners sharing their dishes and the set Tasting Menus are an example of this
• These are great for sharing amongst a group of two or more and are also a clever way of sampling a cross section of the menu
• My favourite was the &lsquo
• The tapas style Tasting Menu is more of a mini banquet and also represents the best value option
• Chilli Garlic Hollandaise and the Yellow Curry with Crinkled Vegetables
• The preponderance of the dishes are consistently delicious and encapsulate the vibrant excitement of the far east
• The Kani Kani Nigiri is such a dish
• The Nigiri is a shocking let down
• Even a rare below average dish such as the Nigiri is miraculously transformed by the marvellous array of dressings and sauces that accompany each dish
• Most dishes have their own bespoke sauce or dressing that is simply wonderful
• Creating some truly amazingly flavoured dressings and sauces with scintillating flavour combos
• Very attentive and on a par with the standards of most 5 star hotel resorts
• The waiters and waitresses are immaculately presented
• They carefully guide you through the menus and suggest the best accompanying beverages for your chosen meal
• The courses are staggered with exactly the right time periods in between each course
• As they sell you the concept and are passionate about their work
• Its food and its staff are all beautifully presented and consistently deliver a high end experience
• I think the biggest problem the restaurant has is that it is not located in the West End of London
• Cosmopolitan diners that the Latino bar is crying for and with food and service this good
• Great ambience and fantastic food with variety of cusiens
• The atmosphere is okay problem is I have been coming to the same venue for breakfast for a week so any vibe Chino Latino - Park Plaza Riverbank London (Vauxhall) had was spoilt by that
• The staff are friendly but don't seem overly knowledgeable when it comes to the menu and are in fact are bit clumsy in their execution
• I ordered the duck for a starter and the steak on the rocks for main and the brownie for dessert all with a number of cocktails
• Some reason the steak was brought to me before the duck but that was quickly fixed
• The steak was quite nice and so was the presentation
• The brownie was ordinary the dish in fact lacked a sauce of some sort it was made up of peanut butter powder
• Pieces of peanut butter ice cream and a chocolate ice cream scoop the middle with some scattered pieces of purple coloured sponge cake
• Without a chocolate or caramel sauce the whole thing was way too dry and therefore was a disappointment
• The cocktails on the other hand were indeed really well done
• Overall Chino Latino - Park Plaza Riverbank London (Vauxhall) is okay but nothing out of this world
• You can tell the chef is really trying he/she is clearly creative but is not quite there yet
• All the boxes are ticked for Peter Morrell at this stylish restaurant which offers a fusion of Asian and Latin American cuisine
• Had dinner with family this evening at the Chino Latino and I must say their services and cuisine was nothing short of excellent
• Broccoli etc and everything was made to perfection
• Chino Latino is the stylish restaurant in the Park Plaza Hotel on the Riverbank
• The bar next door is cool too with a live band most nights
• Very stylish vibe with great cocktails to match
• The Manager was very visible
• Working the room ensuring all was running smoothly
• The style of management is definitely different to a stand alone restaurant
• I had some char grilled chicken with cassava and padron peppers
• My guest had the English sirloin steak which was cooked hot rocks
• We opted to share a salted caramel banana mousse with green tea ice cream which was welcomed
