Carluccio's (Canary Wharf)

• Whilst food is not amazing
• The service is good but normally slow so it is a good idea to order bread basket or olives while you wait
• Menu is reasonably priced and they have two or three course set menus which are even better value
• The ambience is warm and comfortable
• Everything good about Carluccio's (Canary Wharf) is now mentioned in past tense
• Carluccio's used to serve amazing food complimented with amazing service
• The food itself is reasonably priced and portions are fair
• I also noted that there is a wide choice of meals
• We ordered the mushroom soup (it wasn't a typical creme of mushroom soup) with freshly baked focaccia which was decent
• Lasagne and ravioli with spinach and ricotta were cooked well

• The perfectly done pasta with its condiments were all out of the world
• Being vegetarians we ordered a few other dishes as well and everything was so fresh and tasted so good
• The service was quick too owing to the amount of people being served
• Saturday morning brunch is my favourite meal of the week and I'd been struggling with it here in London
• S is only a 5 minute walk away and near the tube so it suited us perfect as we were heading out for the day

• My colleagues who had chosen mushroom soup for a starter were cooing with delight
• I tasted one of the ravioli with spinach and ricotta in sage butter that another colleague was having
• Also during the week they do takeaway pasta with chicken Milanese which is also a great change to the numerous sandwich/coffee shops that are usually on offer for lunch
• Outstanding stuff with a good selection of wines

• I ordered for their infamous zuppa di funghi soup made in a porcini broth with different kinds of mushrooms
• The coffee was a little sad and didnt look too good
• The bread along the soup was not fresh at all
• I had the coffee ice cream and lemon sorbet which was served with a crisp Carluccio's biscuit
• The caramel chocolate syrups drizzled on vanilla gelato ice cream with amaretto biscuits
