The Camden Head (Islington)

• The Camden Head has two floors so if it is full downstairs or on the terrace (it probably will be) you can still find some seating
• It is located in the pedestrian camden passage and it is a good place to stop after doing the brocante on the week end
• Lunch they have very special prices that are attractive
• Then the menu is just a classical Pub one
• It was very good but stay away from it if you are not a big fan of gravy
• The atmosphere was great and the crowd was very friendly
• The Camden Head as a pub is a little lacking in character
• It is somewhere I would prefer to visit during the day when things are a little less busy and the weather permits me to sit outside
• One aspect would draw me to the building at night and that is its regular comedy showings in the upper room which
• Provide a top notch evening with a pint of beer to boot
• The food is especially overpriced considering they are essentially microwave meals
• The stout girl who was introduced to me as their 'team leader' was rude
• The only redeeming feature is their outdoor area but even that isn't enough to make me consider going their again
• Staff are friendly and service is fairly quick but there is a bit of dirty vibe that doesn't quite edge on the hipster
• The comedy nights are worth attending and you always get your drinks fairly quickly
• The food there is good but it's not a must
• One minor flaw is that despite the fact that I can always manage to find a seat
• Even though there are two floors and a terrace area
• The comedy nights every night at 8pm are a must see there
• I don't know who Dan is but I now know his favourite tipple
• There is constant comedy nightly at the moment for free which is pretty amazing
• The menu looked good and they sell jugs of Pimms which is a must on a summers day
• Especially with Wimbledon coming up
• Decent little boozer with a relaxed atmosphere
• The outside area is a treat on sunny days
• While the staff is friendly and fast
• The roast menu consist only on roast beef with all the trimmings
• I decided to add a portion of sweet potato fries on top of it and I was having problems with my belt after it
• The prices are a good match for the quality and quantity as expected from a Taylor Walker pub
• There is a room outside with tables so when the weather is good is a great spot
• We also tried the hamburguer which is also a good meal option
