Café in the Crypt (Covent Garden)

• Several options are available to accompany your tea
• You can also accompany it all with a slice of chocolate / caramel cake
• Almost forgetting that is above ancient tombs
• Sipping tea (or whatever you fancy) in Café in the Crypt (Covent Garden) is a little bit of what makes London special
• Tea or coffee with scones &
• Cereals and pastries an the items in the English breakfast are sold separately too
• Wednesdays are Jazz night and include an Indian curry with beer or wine for £
• I left feeling rather teased as it was pretty much just that
• The ordering process was rather jumble
• By the time we left it had got quite busy and everybody's noise was echoing off the walls
• In the Crypt is pretty standard fare for gallery/museum café
• The options are uninspiring and the service was not good
• I was looking for something light and the soup of the day was a perfect match for my cold self on chilly afternoon
• The staff were pretty friendly and helped me share a table with a 70+ old lady who was super sweet to me
• I am fascinated with Café in the Crypt (Covent Garden)
• In America it is rude to step on tombstones
• The food here is pretty good

• I think that the best coffee is served here in the crypt
• Quality and variety of food is much better than you would tend to expect from most cafeterias
• Other cafeteria offers you a jug of hot custard with your apple crumble
• Lots if vegetarian options too and they are open till around 8
• Good hearty cooking and given that winter is almost here
• The apple crumble was the most memorable
• You eat in a Real crypt ( deads are not here anymore under your feet)
