  • Bubbledogs is the new venture by James Knappett

  • The place itself inside is a kind of classy

  • Upmarket (although not necessarily in terms of prices) diner with bar seating and tongue in cheek illustrations of sausage dogs drinking champagne

  • They have a 12 seater chef's table where is according to many reviews some of the best food you are likely to get in town

  • Beef or veggie which is reassuringly inclusive

  • Those uninitiated are basically posh potato croquettes

  • Could certainly do with a bit more girth

  • The extensive choice of toppings ensures that there is something for pretty much everyone

  • Bubbledogs is sure to become a big hit

  • Bubble Dogs is following in the current fashion of restaurants that gain notoriety by limiting their menu and making you queue outside because bookings aren't allowed (well at Bubbledogs they are

  • The restaurant's food drink combination of choice is champagne and hotdogs

  • This has nothing to do with the champagnes on offer

  • Seeing as this is 50% of the experience

  • The concept of marrying hot dogs with sparkling wine isn't something that comes naturally to most people

  • It's the marriage of your typical street food with your typical posh drink but it works beautifully in this case

  • The atmosphere here is really chilled out and fun

  • Upstairs the floor was filled with communal tables

  • I think the idea of a low fuss quick bite is a great idea

  • T feeling too adventurous I ended up with the New Yorker

  • The bun was overloaded with sauerkraut

  • The hot dog was sandwich between the onions and sauerkraut

  • The hot dog was very meaty and strong

  • Overall I think this is a fun little place

  • As it's another place with no reservations

  • James Knappett is a pretty successful chef with a cracking CV

  • It is then with a smattering of suspicion that I read a couple of months&rsquo

  • I was wondering if Bubbledogs was one of these saddening examples of a concept where the name has come before the method

  • A quick shifty over the sparsely arranged Bubbledogs website informed me that bookings were only taken on groups of six or more

  • The restaurant comes with serious clout Front of the House as well

  • The draw may well be on the culinary contradiction but dig a little deeper and the effervescent focus is on quality &ndash

  • Pied a Terre and the stonking Gaucho rub shoulders with new kids on the block like Dabbous (apparently it&rsquo

  • The buzz surrounding this very unusual Champagne bar is enough to give the X Factor a run for its money

  • The weeks passed by and just as the X Factor hype began to lose all meaning (the week we were due to go was &lsquo

  • The concept seemed to seduce but the execution was evidently lacking

  • Com suggesting that they were not too far off Ikea&rsquo

  • The trusty iPhone guided us to what was clearly actually the Other End

  • First impressions were a little trashy

  • Bubbledogs is a wine bar

  • The star attraction of the room is the copper and wood bar

  • Some others are on tables like us &ndash

  • Other diners are sat eating on a long

  • Freezing to death outside (I asked the manager and the wait time when we arrived was one and a half hours)

  • The drinks menu is like what one would expect from a wine bar &ndash

  • I would dearly have loved to say that I tried some but the feeling of the night was for beer so a few of us settled on &lsquo

  • IPA from the Flying Dog brewery in Colorado that was apparently banned in Michigan for the &lsquo

  • Raging Bitch was disturbingly easy to drink for an 8.3% IPA

  • To see if we were ready to order food

  • Pork or veggie variety and are promoted as exceptional quality specimens (I simply refuse to be drawn into some puns based on dogs

  • That their meats are supplied by curer and charcutier Graham Waddington &ndash

  • Chiefly the trainwreck that was the X Factor vote and how &ldquo

  • General consensus on the hot dogs was that they were

  • The dog itself was well made and deep in flavour

  • Waddington has worked magic on what is essentially fast food

  • The problem with gourmet hot dogs is that you can have the best meat in the world

  • Was crowned with nacho y toppings such as jalapeñ

  • T help but feel that if I was given the hot dog (and the traditionally steamed buns I guess) I could do just as well in my own kitchen

  • She said it was divine &ndash

  • I was much more impressed with the side orders

  • Both are at risk of becoming over oiled and greasy to taste but they were executed wonderfully and were &ndash

  • The experience was relaxing &ndash

  • This is all contradicted with glassware of serious quality

  • Beautiful Londoners were going hungry in the doorway so we settled up pretty quickly in the end and began the walk of shame back out and past the queue

  • 80 (for four) with service &ndash

  • The bill was presented with a guestbook

  • I left Bubbledogs that evening with very conflicting opinions as to what had just happened

  • By no means was it a bad night but it certainly didn&rsquo

  • The Champagne list displays a meticulous understanding of the attention to detail displayed through their work history (the bathrooms at Bubbeldogs are adorned with old menus of the Ledbury

  • The service was warm and friendly (exactly what the management had specified in a recent Twitter recruitment ad) &ndash

  • It was clear that the whole room was having a good time too &ndash

  • Both indulge in extremely over enthusiastic use of Twitter and both are entertaining for the wrong reasons

  • Run by the man himself and featuring a tasting menu that changes every day dependent on what fresh ingredients are available to be sourced

  • The place is packed but there are spots available to eat at the bar and not wearing the sort of shoes that prepares me for standing about

  • The New Yorker with fried onions and the Reuben

  • We wash it down with some sweet potato fries

  • It seems somewhat at odds with the champagne

  • The service is relaxed and despite the long queues snaking outside (Avert your eyes so as to not feel guilty)

  • There was nothing wrong with any of the elements

  • A film director and man with the best job in the world

  • T really get what his job entailed but we were jealous regardless

  • I'm really glad that we did because the food is most definitely not worth a wait

  • They have a really wide variety of hot dogs with varying complexity of toppings

  • The hot dogs themselves are pretty small and kind of get lost beneath all the toppings

  • A top shop dress can work fabulously with a pair of Jimmy Choos

  • With this in mind I was very intrigued when Melanie from Sunny in London invited me along to try Bubbledogs

  • A restaurant that juxtaposes fast food hot dogs with luxurious champagne

  • The interior of Bubbledogs is small and quite cosy

  • Let's start with a glass of champagne

  • The list at Bubbledogs is made entirely of growers champagne made by farmers in smaller champagne houses

  • There's no Moet or Veuve on the list at Bubbledogs so I started with a glass of Gaston Chiquet

  • The lovely Melanie hails from the US and was amused to see some of the combos on offer such as the Fourth of July dog

  • A sausage wrapped in bacon with smokey BBQ sauce and coleslaw

  • The hot dog was ok and it was definitely fun to enjoy a bit of junk food with a nice glass (or three

  • Melanie went for the Mac Daddy on the basis that it was the most popular item on the menu

  • As she informed me this was the kind of food served in school cafeterias in the states

  • Beverly Hills 90210 and Sweet Valley High meant I had already heard of tator tots but this was my first time actually trying them

  • Plus I could kid myself they were healthier than normal fries

  • I had a lovely time with Melanie and Bubbledogs is a good fun concept

  • I like the idea of injecting a bit of humour into your lunch and the hotdogs themselves are inexpensive

  • There are so many 'gourmet' junk food restaurants opening that a little bit more gastro magic is needed to make Bubbledogs really and truly special

  • The waiter was welcoming and recommended the sloppy joe (my mouth just waters thinking of it)

  • Beef chilly sauce was the best I ever had

  • Posh it up with some bubbles

  • T tried Bubbledogs yet is one of my least favorite things as a Londoner

  • T my idea of pre dinner fun and thanks to these new trendy restaurants with a no reservation policy

  • That first bite that determines whether or not the shivering bodies and chattering teeth were all worth a hot dog

  • Escorting the all important bubbledog loaded with toppings and the necessary snap

  • The best part of going to Bubbledogs with friends is the sampling opportunities

  • Bacon wrapped with caramelized lettuce and truffle mayo

  • Bacon wrapped with smokey BBQ sauce and coleslaw

  • Deep fried hot dog with spicy buffalo sauce

  • All of these were absolutely delicious and true to their name

  • We decided we must have an obligatory order of sweet potato fries and tots (give me some of your tots) which were the perfect sides to share

  • Chicken skin and avocado with a side if champers

  • The novelty in itself is worth the visit

  • The bartender looked like he knew what he was doing and it paid off

  • If you are part of a hen do or a girls' night out and are looking for quick bite to eat whilst starting your night with some champagne

  • Dogs and chips are good but does get busy

  • Grab your hat and saddle up because this Bubbledogs review is about to BLOW your mind and a whole lot more

  • As I sat waiting for my lunch date with super foodie and luxury travel blogger Angie of Silverspoon London

  • The first ingredient listed is roasted garlic&hellip

  • I asked what the most popular items were and learned they&rsquo

  • Angie made a smooth and trim selection with the Naked Dog

  • As her wedding is just 6 weeks away

  • Baseball frank was another story

  • Be advised that the hotdogs are just a cheap decoy

  • I can see how all the glorious ingredients on the hotdogs paired with massive amounts of bubbles could give someone&rsquo

  • The 4 of us were told it was over an hour wait

  • V and P seemed happy enough with their BLTs

  • My Buffalo Dog was quite pleasant but they hadn't melted the blue cheese

  • Everyone's food envy was directly at L

  • They'd split onto 4 separate sticks and was nice to try if nothing special

  • When the novelty of chugging bubbly with underwhelming grub kicks in

  • The thought of taking a greasy hot dog and pairing it up with a classy glass of bubbles isn't something I would normally do but I thoroughly enjoyed it

  • Allowing people like me who are Muslim to enjoy a non pork hot dog

  • The service was excellent and fast too

  • I was definitely intrigued by the novel idea of pairing Hot Dogs with champagne and I think the concept alone is what draws crowds of customers queuing up for it everyday (Hint

  • The minor downside to this restaurant is that they lack sufficient space for the crowds of customers they attract

  • The unusual coupling of champagne and hot dog made for a great meal so this is a restaurant I would definitely recommend

  • It may have been an unusual choice for New Years Eve Eve (not NYE itself) with a couple of friends but this is where we chose and having had a bit of time off work

  • Pasta and cheese combination but it was the idea of putting together a couple of my favourite comfort foods together that tempted me

  • Both the sausage itself was average and the macaroni cheese was really average

  • The combination was ok but this could have been a winner if the mac and cheese had more flavour

  • The crispy onions were delicious though

  • I think the Jose was the clear best of the 3 but again

  • My friend felt it was good rather than great

  • 6 price tag was justified for something that didn't even match the taste of a street side hot dog stall

  • The highlight of the meal were the sweet potato fries

  • What was bad though was the service

  • We're not the type of people rude enough to hang around for ages after a meal is done in a busy

  • Empty tables are visible and we've only been in there for about an hour)

  • The place gets an overall thumbs down from me and is not somewhere any of us felt we would be returning

  • Ve been keen to visit for a while and what people need to realise is that this is hot dogs

  • I took the opportunity to treat her to lunch to coincide her celebrations with my need to visit Bubbledogs

  • T book a table and given the fact it was 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and located on a quiet road in Fitzrovia

  • Goes to show the place is extremely popular even though it has been open for some time now

  • Considering how busy it was this didn&rsquo

  • The Mac Daddy with macaroni and cheese was my choice and I really enjoyed it

  • Had a creamy mac and cheese with bacon smothered on top and crispy onions giving an added texture

  • The Chippy Dog was a good choice covered in scraps and the sausage lightly battered took me back to some drunken nights

  • My cousin had the Philly Cheez with sauté

  • Peppers and lashings of cheese sauce which was definitely going to clog up the arteries and was naughty

  • The service was your average here and the waiters very friendly

  • The clientele was of a younger crowd and the atmosphere was buzzing

  • Not something remarkable but is a good hot dog

  • It's a perfect place to go with friends just to enjoy this special combination

  • Is an experience that is nice to try once

  • Don't go here with the desire of refined cuisine

  • Turn up and embrace the fun of a good excuse to knock back a hot dog with a twist supported by some delicious bubbles

  • Bubbledogs is an interesting concept of a restaurant

  • The hot dogs are quite good made with good quality meat and the toppings aren&rsquo

  • The onions were crisp and tasty just how I like them

  • The ambience is hip and many couples and friends gather here

  • I must admit it was a bit of a disappointment as it was quite expensive for just eating hot dogs

  • First attempt was on Saturday night at around 8 pm impossible had to wait 1 hour and a half and we were starving

  • Is perhaps why I was expecting an unforgettable experience I mean

  • It's not WOW (like I would have expected a place with this much HYPE and BUSTLE to have

  • Atmosphere at the particular time I went was quite down but then again

  • Bubble Dogs was a disappointment for me

  • T rationalize the standard 60 minute wait just for hot dogs with a glass of bubbles all of which can be consumed within 15 minutes

  • I was told there was still 10 to 15 minute wait

  • I asked if there any way they could squeeze me in given I was there by myself and the manager was nice enough to find me a spot at the bar

  • Sitting at the bar is the best seat in the house in my opinion and perfect if you&rsquo

  • At the back of Bubbledogs is Kitchen Table which is where the real kitchen prowess is

  • S creations is on my wish list

  • A beef hot dog smothered in perfectly cooked creamy cheesy macaroni and topped with fried crispy onions and bacon bits

  • Bit thankful I was alone because I made quite a mess eating it and felt sorry for anyone who was on a first date here

  • T imagine attempting to chomp down a hot dog with toppings while trying to be flirtatiously charming at the same time

  • Bubbledogs is totally worth a quick visit if the queues are not crazy but in my opinion it&rsquo

  • If the queue is ridiculous

  • I believe the menu changes regularly depending on what is available and in season and therefore I will post the pictures and not go into too much detail

  • All the places we ate at in 2012 this is the one where we find ourselves constantly comparing all others too

  • The courses are described simply on the menu as I copy in full below leaving Chef to change ingredients daily/weekly depending on what is available

  • The front hot dog and bubbles bar is fiscally savvy

  • Intimate U shaped kitchen table is an exciting gastronomic playground

  • Firstly the toppings are inventive and exciting

  • Beyond what a lot of people doing hot dogs were doing until recently

  • The bubbles part is fantastic the choice of smaller producers is fantastic and obviously draws upon Sandia chang's extensive knowledge

  • Perhaps the best unknown or know known is kitchen table behind the curtain

  • Without doubt one of the best tasting menus in London and an amazing concept

  • Well worth of the star they were awarded personally wouldn't be surprised to see them attains another

  • I can't say i was overly impressed with bubbledogs

  • Whilst my mum went for a New Yorker with caramelised onions

  • I was impressed with the sweet potato fries the perfect combination of sweet

  • The food is very much secondary to the alcohol but the gimmick factor is nice nonetheless

  • It's claim to fame is the hot dog which I find fairly average (and 3 tries on the menu to find it as it's buried at the back of the 30 page drinks menu)

  • The wine and cocktail list is very extensive however and have some good choices

  • The staff were lovely and efficient and it had a great atmosphere although it was quite small it was exactly what I was looking

  • Some time at the end of last year a plan was made to visit The Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs

  • When I heard there were 2 sittings I was worried we'd be rushed through our meal

  • D think Bubbledogs is right on the money

  • The Kitchen Table serves the best ingredients in a tasting menu which changes daily

  • We started with SchiehalIion beer (£

  • Standing guard over Bubbledogs Kitchen Tab is Chef James Knappett and his talented kitchen crew

  • Tagliatelle made with smoked egg yolks and Perigord truffles

  • Caramel ice cream covered with Valrohna chocolate

  • My love of hot dogs is well documented

  • So happened to coincide with my early birthday get together

  • I was early so therefore decided to take a seat at the bar within the main restaurant and start with a glass of their Pink Champagne whilst I wait

  • Mr D arrived and we were shown to our seats

  • Sandia acts as GM and makes you feel perfectly at home and starting us off with the wine list and some of her suggestions we decided to match our wines through the meal

  • On our visit there were several 'regulars' whom seemed to have preferred seats

  • Fulham picked Blackberries who knew Fulham was a decent place to forage for food

  • The Venison for Mr D was his 'ultimate dish' of the evening for me it was the lobster however even getting it down to our favourites was tricky as every dish was as memorable as the last

  • They have a wide variety and it was very difficult to chose as there were so many delicious options

  • The tator tauts and the sweet potato friends were really good and crispy

  • The place is always busy so there is usually a waiting list

  • Thought this may be a different take on the popular hot dog so decided to make my way here with my two teens

  • The venue is quite small but was empty considering the time 13

  • Not sure which one to pick I asked the waiter which was the most popular

  • The Buffalo with some sweet potato fries and I think it was called little devils(corn and cheese style fritters)

  • I tried some of all and I was not blown away

  • I went here with my bf last night as I always wanted to try Bubbledogs (Fitzrovia)

  • We got a table with four chairs

  • The waiter said its a sharing table but i was thinking it is a really small table to share

  • I think it is over priced and i expected it to be a lot bigger but was just a normal size quite small for the price

  • The Trishna hotdog was really good though

  • It was one of the first restaurants in London to pair the casual hot dog with champagne and transform a casual delight into a gourmet meal

  • The trend has been successfully going in London since with everything from hot dogs to kebabs becoming fancy dining experiences

  • The 2.0 rating was for the staff who were all smiles

  • The hotdogs are out of this world

  • Threw a mother of a party at Borough Market with the return of The Hot Dog Challenge 2017

  • The hot dogs are great and it&rsquo
