  • I got a little sick of seeing every 3rd restaurant read 'cafe' and they are all really the same

  • Saw a beautiful cafe with by far the most interesting interiors

  • They served the croissant on my table with a huge chunk of fresh butter

  • Pair it with generous amounts of butter as you bite into it and i promise you this is the best croissant i have had in a while

  • The coffee was amazing too

  • A very relaxing and boho feel to the place was like a little escape from the world outside

  • The service was excellent too and as the lunch time specials go

  • 14.80 for two courses it is brilliant value

  • Bread or cakes are for breakfast

  • Had he not known it was there we probably wouldn't even have noticed it

  • We started with a lambs tongue salad

  • While I ordered the pork belly cooked with beer and cockles for main my friend went for the duck

  • It's a good quiet spot for a catch up and bite although I wouldn't recommend it if you're fussy there weren't many options on the menu and it was all fairly adventurous

  • Was smooth and freshly made together with some succulent potatoes

  • We decided to accompany the lunch with white wine&hellip

  • The prices are good and you should spend 40 £

  • I would surely recommend going with a group of friends

  • White art decor floor the mix is quite stunning

  • A mocha both very nice and made with good quality coffee serves in little glasses

  • The chargrilled cabbage with lemon mayonnaise

  • They had these beautiful crispy blackened edges and they were generously slathered in a warm lemon mayonnaise that was simply divine

  • The potatoes with anchovy butter also deserve a mention

  • Desserts best rhubarb eton mess I've ever had

  • I don't know what it was wonderfully spiced with

  • The room was filled with all sorts of furniture and gaudy chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings

  • There is a bar at the front by the entrance with a more casual cafe seating area where you can have a coffee

  • Whilst the restaurant area is towards the back of the room

  • Hungry and ready to devour the feast that was to be laid before us

  • A couple of jugs of Bloody Marys were brought to the table to start us off

  • The ogleshield churros were really moreish

  • Both the duck rillettes and brawn were also very good

  • I was initially unsure about how the horseradish with oat and dandelion would come out as

  • A good Sunday roast is always accompanied by equally amazing sides

  • I just couldn't resist those new potatoes which were coated in delicious anchovy paste

  • The roast lamb leg was really huge and was shared amongst the 7 of us

  • We finished off with a trio of sweet desserts

  • The bourbon biscuit with custard was probably my favourite amongst them

  • Brunswick House is in a bit of an odd location

  • Fruits and paired with delicious meats/fish

  • So naturally I went with the three courses

  • My starter was an Anchovy Butter

  • Carrots and Kohlrabi tops which is basically various radishes &

  • A coffee sponge with spiced caramel ice cream

  • Dirty Burger was a welcome addition in 2013

  • Both of which are run by members of the talented Boxer family who are also responsible for the absurdly popular Frank's Café

  • Paving the way for Jackson Boxer and his brother Frank (of rooftop car park fame) to found a coffee and sandwich shop in 2010 that was initially known as the Brunswick House Coffee Rooms

  • Though it doesn't really help with the decision making

  • Every plate (intended for sharing) was carefully thought out beautifully presented

  • Pecan Butter was a tough one to share

  • It's hard not to be seduced by a Toasted Ginger Cake with Spiced Plums

  • You could just pop in for a slice of this with a cup of tea and leave very happy

  • In London at a leisurely pace with room to move your elbows

  • Then the whole sprinkled with toasted pumpkin seeds

  • They make sense because someone with good taste has been involved in putting them there

  • In a main course there are slices of roasted lamb loin

  • It is decorated first with a bright chilli relish and then

  • Cylinders of sweet salty confited salsify come with sticky roasted Jerusalem artichokes split open so you can see their butter soft inwards

  • Across that curling savoury tuiles with the delicacy of antimacassars

  • The special of the day a plate of lamb shoulder with roasted pink fir potatoes

  • Purple sprouting broccoli and braised veges was as stunning to the palate as it was to the eye

  • Retaining all its magnificent juices which you couldn't help but mop up with crusty bread as to waste it would be blasphemy

  • Just a note that the lamb was only 1 of 3 specials on the day which do rotate so always be on the lookout

  • We went for gurnard and lamb dishes with potatoes side

  • All mains were lukewarm at the best when served

  • Nice place with professional and helpful staff but food was not upto the mark as per expectations

  • Five lanes throb with endlessly gyrating traffic flanked by eye poppingly brutal looking high rises and an equally uninspiring railway station

  • S a stately little Georgian house with white pillars and stone steps leading to the front door with a Union Jack hanging above the portal

  • A Victorian standalone building surrounded by ugly modern and soulless blocks this is a real gem

  • The interior is shabby/ vintage chic with Lassco furniture for sale

  • Menu is changing according to season with plenty of variety to cater for food intolerances and tastes

  • Brunswick House is a Georgian mansion turned architectural salvage yard slash restaurant slash party venue slash bar slash cafe

  • The yogurt was and granola + cappuccino were just what I was looking

  • The food was delicious and so were the drinks

  • The corpse reviver is amazing and a worthy cocktail for anyone adventurous enough to try it
