Bollywood Stories (Hackney)

• Not sure if they take bookings or not but we were advised it should be fine to show up as a group of six on a Sunday afternoon and was no problem
• Menu is not that extensive but the few things we tried were pretty good
• Can't really go wrong with the combination so was pleased with my choice
• One has to walk 5 metres to order and pay at the bar which is a minor annoyance but a great excuse to make your own Bloody Mary at the DIY Bloody Mary table
• Interestingly one of the choice ingredients is English Mustard
• I like mine with a kick of horseradish which was missing unfortunately
• Long tables in the middle and smaller ones round the edge are all loomed over by huge white lamps
• We ordered at the bar but the drinks were brought to our table and I must admit the last one took so long to arrive I began to worry they&rsquo
• Alison had the Naughty which she wanted me to mention was possibly the best tequila cocktail she&rsquo
• I thought this was summery and fresh but I would say that the ingredients sounded more interested than they actually taste
• This was basically a rum and coke but with the addition of Disaronno
• The avocado on toast was very tasty
• Stories is one of the best brunch spots going slap bang in the middle of the street
• The Bloody Marys are build your own (and not bad at £
• Ash went for a quinoa and tahini salad with halloumi whilst I went for old favourite avocado on sourdough with chilli flakes
• Washed down with a bottle of ice cold Krusovice
• Visited here on Friday night but it was the worst party of whole London
• They took 20 for the entry even though the music was on lowest volume
