• The Bleeding Heart Tavern is situated right behind the bustling Leather Lane market in Farringdon
• The tavern has an authentic Gallic atmosphere but the decor is not overdone
• Main courses we were inspired by the chilly weather and ordered a fish pie
• The portions sizes were generous but not too much and all three of us were very happy with our choices
• The fish and chips was a hearty portion and lots of chips to eat
• A place that is busy for a hearty breakfast
• It's a proper tavern with no trendy bits added like music etc
• A full English is the way to go with far too much food on the plate
• A good selection of gin is washed down well with tonic
