Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden)

• O my when my dishes came out I was in for a shock I was given a whole chicken
• It was so huge I had to give some to my friends and there was plenty left over
• The chicken was a little bit dry especially when it came to the breast
• The mushrooms were nice and sauce was very subtle
• Overall the food was ok and the bill were under £
• The setting of their restaurant in Soho is especially cool
• Most of their seating is underground in a dark/rustic basement
• It was not very busy when I went so the service was particularly good
• They were cooked very well and the sauce it came with was delicious
• The choice of beers is another great thing about Belgo
• The value I think is very reasonable
• I very recently visited Belgo with my boyfriend whilst searching for a restaurant to eat in in Covent Garden last Friday evening
• After a while we realised it was also a restaurant due to the huge amount of people waiting for be called for their tables and turning up for reservations
• Music filled the bar along with the copius amounts of customers waiting to eat
• The decor of the place was also very stimulating
• We hadn't seen many restaurants with this style decor
• We first of all felt like we were in some sort of futuristic movie having been a mobile phone looking device that vibrates and rings when you're table is ready
• We then were taken downstairs to the restaurant and wow it was like we were taken back in time
• The place was huge with two separate eating areas at both ends
• It was obvious from scanning the room that it was suited to a variety of people from families
• The portions are absolutely huge
• The rest of the meals are of adequate sizes also
• The dessert sounded way too tempting and so we ordered a Belgian Waffle with double chocolate ice cream and raspberries to share despite our very full stomachs
• The closest tube station is Covent Garden or Oxford Street
• The place is famous with its Beer and their amazing fries
• I would recommend to try Cod Burger and the Rib Eye Steak with the great Belgian Fries
• Where large portion is casual dine in
• The ambience is raw and friendly
• I believe it holds its customers right there to want/see more and bond is strengthen as you check the service
• I visited Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) Friday late evenings and stuffed myself with amazing mussels pots and king prawns
• They serve meat and other dishes but sea food is must have here
• Varieties of drinks are served and has interesting serving ware for each item
• The desserts are few to pick on
• Also platter with king prawn starter
• I loved all of them they were exactly the way it should be
• Great way to start weekend with some amazing food
• If you like an 'all you can eat' menu and are a great fan of mussels
• Then Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is a must visit
• There is just one downside to the entire experience and that is that it is always rammed with people and the crowd can be a little intolerable and noisy at times
• It is still a fun place to visit if you are in the neighbourhood
• I had mussels and fries which weren't good and I was very unimpressed with the food
• The service though was quick and the atmosphere was also a lively one
• The task of eating out becomes a tad difficult when the group of people dining together is huge and everyone's got their own preferences and tastes
• Dining at this restaurant is too much of a task and therefore not preferred by me
• Was slightly irritating as they were rushing us
• Spit roast chicken with chilli and ginger was like a reject
• Simultaneously over and undercooked with the contents of a bottle of Thai sweet chilli sauce chucked over it
• Battered fish was so hard and was inedible
• My beef carbonate was just about okay
• The lamb was far too dry and was not succulent in the least
• Located under Covent Gardens is perfect for couples or even parties
• Their mussels and chips are known throughout the city to be the best
• Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is worth all the appreciation from customers and fellow diners marvelling at the attention and bustling crowd this new diner has received
• This festival is a tradition since 1998 and I highly recommend it
• Interiorized with long wooden tables and loud convos
• The mussels were alright and there wasn't anything special about them
• The kind of food they served they were too overpriced in my opinion
• Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is surely a hit among groups but not sure if two people can enjoy a romantic meal out here

• It is a perfect place for anyone who is on the look out to eat in Central London
• Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) situated in central London has tasty food and what's always a hit is their cool collection of beer
• The place is sort of warehouse styled and I really liked the theme that they were trying to give to that place
• So I'm guessing their food was sufficiently tasty
• I would definitely come again with all my friends to try more from their menu which was kind of nice

• The servers are hospitable and welcoming and the place has a lively ambience
• The ambiance is great and the restaurant is massive with a lot of tables and chairs

• I recently visited Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) and really liked their central seating area which is on the lower level and is more like canteen styled with long tables and benches
• The ambience was very good and the lighting was dim just the way I like
• I had mongozo banana beer which was very exotic and exciting
• I also had their speciality the mussels which were above regular
• My recommended few are the traditional moules et frites
• The service is also very good
• Waiters are very attentive and their seafood is worth a try
• 1) The bathroom is uni sex and the communal faucet is like a fountain
• 2) All the servers are dressed like monks
• I will say that Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is surely a hit to bring out of town visitors and very lively for group outings
• The beer selection is far more than excellent
• The portions are adequate and the prices are reasonable
• They have a vast food and beer menu with a lot to choose from
• I must add the mussels here are by far the best
• The Thai green curry mussels are by far the best bet here
• The sauce was filled with flavors and the mussels were cooked just right
• The servers were dressed like Belgian monks and the walls were lined with kegs of delicious Belgian beer

• Onion and garlic with fries and side of mayo
• Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) has big selection of moules and great selection on other kind of food too which is present in the menu
• We had the croquettes and the roast chicken and both were done to perfection
• Overall Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is so good that you might end up becoming their regular customer just like me
• The best part is the food is so good and it takes so less out of your pocket
• I went there with my children and I was so happy that they happen to like Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden)
• The atmosphere was very lively but the only thing I did not like was that they lack customer service and interaction with your customers is a must according to me
• I really love underground restaurants and Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is the best among the good ones

• This restaurant located in a posh are of the city is great on value for money

• Belgo has a very large dining area which offers a family friendly atmosphere and the food is perfect for sharing

• The service could be better as it was hard to get the attention of the waitstaff and we were brought duplicates of our order
• The chicken liver pate was the star of the show by far with serviceable steak frite and mussel entrees and a deep bottle beer selection although quite limited draft options
• Could have been any burger bar anywhere with bad ceiling faux brick work

• Bread with pate is my all time favourite and although the highlight of the meal
• If you have room after that you have to try the waffles with ginger ice cream and chantilly ceam very nice

• A plate of specialty herb and garlic Mussels and our delectable carbs to soak up the flavors that were left when the mussels dissapeared

• The moules are really good and freshs (which the opposite will be a surprise
• Many good combinaisons with beers and mussels
• My Favourite all time is Moules Marinieres
• It goes to show that they are tasty and I don't want to even try other stuff
• The only thing is I'm not keen on the whole style or decor of the restaurant
• Had a team dinner here last night and it was just fantastic
• Smoky chicken with double fried fries (yeah awesome mkt) and loved them
• The starters were also good with some nice melted cheese
• Would definitely return with some friends

• Covent Garden is filled with wonderful places to eat and you can add Belgo to that list
• Belgian cuisine was a first for us but the food is hearty and very filling
• The restaurant itself is in a basement
• The kitchen is an open kitchen which I'm a huge fan of in restaurants now

• One minor criticism I had was that the ox and sauce it was in wasn't too flavourful compared to other places I've had it
• We were a bit disappointed we didn't have desert as the ones that were being brought through
• The staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is really tasty specially the Thai Moules
• White wine) but the Smoked Chorizo (chorizo with parsley) also offers a very splendid taste
• Belgo Centraal (Covent Garden) is definitely a must visit in London
• Restaurant was clean however it was not Disability friendly with no accessibility for wheelchair persons
• The waiter was a bit confused with order
• The ambiance was a bit noisy
• The place looked small but it was very comfortable at the restaurant
