Ariana Restaurant (Mile End)

• Food is ok but service is just awful
• A great place if you have time to spare and with people who like to chat
• Some of the best food I've had in London in this price range
• All of our group were very very happy with food Staff were friendly and helpful and as we had taken own wine /beer they brought glasses and water without us having to ask
• Great atmosphere added to by two large family groups celebrating birthdays with singing and dancing in there local dialects
• The chicken was too lemony for me and the lamb kebabs a bit too salty
• I've driven past Ariana many times and was with a friend when we decided to pop in for a late dinner as a last minute choice
• Visiting at around 10pm ment it was rather quiet
• Despite the restaurant being near empty a rather loud dinner decided to sit to the table behind me and do his best to share the story of his day with the whole restaurant
• The whilst the lamb was well cooked
• The mixed appetizer platter was quiet good (except for that Most o Khiar item
• The lamb shanks was just overcooked and dry and bland
• The lamb chops were just so so okay
• Maybe being from the Middle East my expectations were too high from a Persian/Afghan cuisine type restaurant
• The points here are just based on their appetizers only
• Ariana Restaurant (Mile End)s serves Iranian and Afghan dishes and the quality of the dishes are amazing and same goes for the staff
• The portions are also quite filling here

• It's really fluffy and bouncy if that ever was a way to describe rice
• Well it's all average but to be honest the mixed grill is decent enough for the price so I'm not going to complain too much
• First thing you notice is the beautiful decor

• The meal consisted of two skewers of charcoal grilled lamb served with saffron steamed basmati rice and grilled tomato and salad
• Also the portion was very big so you get the value for your money
• The kebabs were disappointing
• They cooked it perfectly the meat was soft and tender but the taste ruined it
• Even having it with different sauces couldn't take it away
• I thought it was quite ridiculous that they charge £
• They added service charge to our bill when there was no one else in the restaurant
• Baked aubergines with tomatoes and egg GBP 4.50 &ndash
• I think the aubergines were slightly burnt rather than charcoaled
• Good texture with little chuncky bits but lacks seasoning and the punch of garlic
• Eat while it is warm because it gets crispy when it is cooled
• Wheat flour stuffed with minced lamb and onions
• Full of flavour and I was impressed by the portion size
• Stewed finely diced lamb cooked with aubergines
• Dry lime and served with saffron steamed basmati rice GBP 8.95 &ndash
• Well cooked aubergine and the tangy flavour from the dried lime was marvellous
• Spicy chilli relish with walnuts &ndash
• I would say that this chilli sauce is on the scale of 2/5 but my European hubby rates it at 3.5/5
• A bowlful of rice with this chilli sauce for me
• Saffron ice cream with pistachio nuts
• It was delicious but not if you have more than three teaspoonfuls where then the only taste that lingers in your mouth is the sweetness
• The bread was nice and I believe it was cooked fresh in a fire oven
• I had high expectations of Ariana Restaurant (Mile End) however the food was bland and tasteless
