Toby Carvery (Corstorphine)

• The interior could have used a little work and there was an unusual odour emanating from the rest room
• We approached the carvery corner and were greeted by a very friendly meat man
• Huge chunks of edible animals were on display
• The vegetable section had a good selection with all the usual suspects making an appearance
• The Yorkshire Puddings were overwhelmingly large and certainly looked the part
• Sadly the meat didn't boast a huge amount of flavour and with the exception of the gammon it was difficult to distinguish which variety of animal each slice was
• The vegetables were mediocre at best
• The sheer size of the Yorkshire pudding was an astounding achievement and whilst light and crispy they were a little on the greasy side
• The food here is so delicious
• The Carvery is just so different to any restaurant
• You can expect quick service and low prices with unlimited helpings to vegetables and sauces
• What I felt was lacking is that you get a thin slice of each (think cooked ham slices for sandwich thin) choice
• The exterior and interior of the restaurant is not very impressive
• The carvery is a good size for the price and you can help yourself to as much vegetables as you want
• Was in on sunday with my partner and kids for our carvery and was served by sharon who was extremely helpful
• She was great helping with kids getting them high chairs and colouring sheets
