La Favorita (Leith)

• The restaurant has a good atmosphere and feels authentic with most of its staff being Italian
• The toppings were really tasty and interesting
• The base wasn't too crispy which was disappointing
• I don't know if they were having on off day but this wasn't the best pizza I've ever had
• Their pasta dishes are also very tasty although I find the carbonara tough going

• The calzone is fantastic and they always make it just the way I want it
• Kids meals are very good and cheap for the size and quality
• Always busy and the staff are great with our kids
• We were a fairly large group so the party menu was enforced upon us which sounded OK on paper but I would normally just have a pizza for £
• We were asked if we they could just bring out mixed starters since we were such a large group
• Then when they came out it wasn't clear how many each platter was to share and also missed several items off the starter menu
• They had the audacity to add a 10% service charge this is not good value for money
• One of the best restaurant for the Pizza in Edinburgh
• I've been here three times and the Pizza was always good
• We shared the Bruschetta Tartufata which was really nice and then I had the Zorba Il Grecco (Greek salad) pizza
• The toppings were lovely and there was a generous amount of feta cheese on it
• I only wish it was available from La Favorita Delivered in Portobello so that I could have it more often
• We were impressed at how attentive the staff were at filling our glasses as they were passing the table
• Absolutely the best pizza I've ever eaten
• Biggest regret is not saving room for dessert

• The tagliatelle was over cooked and soft as it comes and the sauce was just OK
• The flatbread was also just OK
• The staff advices what to order which was perfect for us
