  • They had a food menu with today's date printed on it

  • Leaving me to wonder how many of the items on it were daily or weekly specials and how many were standards

  • As I'll definitely be back to Hector's (if only because it is so very convenient)

  • My favorite parts of the meal were the sides that came with Scott's pie very tasty kale and mash

  • The rotating beers on tap are always interesting

  • My one complaint is that it's too popular often it's hard to wander in without a reservation and find a table

  • I'm usually not disappointed with the seat thing

  • It's not often the comment from a veggie is 'too much flavour'

  • There were groups that looked as if they were work colleagues

  • S high end after work pub grub was exactly what Amy and I expected

  • We were delighted to see the mains were thoughtfully presented too

  • We particularly loved the slow cooked British short rib with ginger ale ketchup that also appeared on the chicken wings

  • We felt the seasoning was a tad hit and miss

  • The padron peppers really were nothing but bitter

  • Olive and roast vegetable croquettes with green chilli and pesto was fine

  • We finished our tastings with a large sundae glass of chocolate praline profiteroles with Jude&rsquo

  • The prices are reasonable and the menu a lot more interesting than the average

  • Salt and pepper squid and the poutine (a Canadian dish made with french fries

  • I rather fancy a mixed platter with Black Combe ham

  • Do check out their Burger Day on Mondays when you can get a drink and a burger with chips and all the trimmings for £

  • Good selection of drinks and beers and the food is always a good standard

  • When we visited Hectors it was a sunny Thursday evening

  • There were a mix of people along with the occasional furry friend

  • The beer selection is good and they stocked a few of our favourites

  • We were there for dinner and the menu is normal gastropub type food

  • Homemade scotch egg with some chips

  • The quality didn't disappoint although the only one thing I think they could improve is the temperature of the food

  • It could have done with a little extra time in the oven

  • All the food was tasty and cooked well

  • S definitely a firm favourite amongst many locals and having recently undergone a full refurbishment the pub is looking better than ever

  • With the bright and airy front bar offset by a cosy back bar with an industrial edge with plenty of space for drinking and dining

  • Their burgers are worth trying too

  • Worth checking out if you are in the Stockbridge area

  • Went to Hector's for lunch today with the girls having seen their delights in the form of small plates

  • The poutine was OK (was bbq sauce and not the delicious gravy I had imagined) and the sausages were the pick of the bunch for me

  • The winning dish was the mac and cheese side with truffle mayo

  • The night was cold and crisp and Stockbridge was looking particularly lovely or was it just the fact that Christmas brings with it just a wee touch of magic

  • It was very busy but the service was great and the food delicious
