Ginger Restaurant (Old Town)

• We decided to have the Pre Theatre menu which was 2 courses for £
• I never have high expectations for food that costs this cheap but sometimes you find a gem and this was what I was hoping
• I started off with the Chicken Tikka
• Main courses I ordered the Chicken Korma with rice and my friend had the Lamb Karai with naan bread
• Chicken Korma was just raw spices
• The one really great dish here was the Naan Bread
• The service was a little lacking
• Abrupt and abrasive at times although by the end of night she did see us off with a smile (not sure if that was just because we were leaving
• A couple of months ago with regular guest quester Arianna
• S a bright and welcoming space with the expected artwork depicting Himalayan mountains bedecking the walls
• Easily the best curry I have had in Edinburgh and such great service
• I don't know what happened on the bad reviewers night but the (what appeared to be husband and wife) hosts were excellent and even gave us 20% off vouchers for our next visit
• The curries were flavoursome
• Ginger Restaurant (Old Town) is delicious and underrated
• The place was pretty quiet when I was there which is a shame
• Ordered food at home since was craving Indian food
• The dishes are good and decent in quantity
• The taste was the dishes were good and worth it
• The Paneer tikka was bland and there was no chutney provided by the restaurant
• My fiance and I visited during a shirt trip to Edinburgh and we were impressed with Ginger
• We had poppadoms to start with onions and pickle tray excellent
• Pickle tray was great and the poppadoms still warm
• Chips and peshwari naan) were fresh and hot
