Cross & Corner (Canonmills)

• So the place was quite quiet when I arrived
• The main course risotto was an equally accomplished dish
• It was served just wet enough so that there was a good ooze to it
• Celeriac soup with wild mushroom profiteroles
• Rainy evening to try this pub with a friend and was happy to take refuge inside
• The drink selection was just above average and I enjoyed a nice half pint of a white wheat beer
• They were served with olive bread that was a bit dry and tasteless despite trying to be nice
• Later I had the chocolate and raspberry roulade for dessert which was delicious but a bit dear for £
• While one server was really friendly and helpful
• Another one was just ok and kept trying to take our menu away
• I enjoyed the experience but felt the food was a bit overpriced and
• It became quite loud and hard to talk with all of the noise of the place
• It was perfectly soothing for a Sunday lightly spiced so you could still taste the Gin Mare it was mixed with
• Was stunning with butternut squash and a light cheesy sauce
• The styling is quirky but you don't feel like you need to be a hipster to settle in for the afternoon
• Cross and Corner is the sort of place you could easily spend your Sunday Mornings
• We ordered poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly
• Everything had a great taste and you could tell it was quality ingredients
• Corner's dinner are also worth the trip to Cannonmills
