Cafe Nom De Plume (New Town)

• There's usually somewhere to find a seat and it's not uncommon to find a dog lurking which is far more atmospheric than babies
• With a good selection for people with dietary problems
• After visiting with a friend for coffee and smelling the wonders of the kitchen from his seat
• So luckily the menu was very varied with lots of choice
• My Dad and I decided to share olives and garlic bread with cheese to start
• The cheese was spread evenly throughout
• Rather than the usual top layer of cheese with loads of naked nachos underneath
• The olives were lovely and plentiful
• Banoffee pie is my weakness
• It came doused in cream and was more like a banoffee cheesecake
• The setting was perfect with a relaxed atmosphere and the food was fantastic value
• Horseradish sandwich AND two coffees (which were top notch) came to £
• Nothing specific was tickling our fancy so the perfect place
• The food was tasty the BLT bagel was filled with crispy bacon and the side salad was packed full of flavour (the mustard dressing was particularly good)
• The macaroni cheese was a cheese lovers paradise plenty of melted cheese upon a well cooked and well seasoned plate of creamy pasta
• Nothing on the menu is going to knock your socks off
• It's home cooking at its best served with a smile within a cosy
• Cafe Nom De Plume is a very homely and quirky place to go for a meal or even just a coffee and cake
• A great wide ranging menu with a good wine choice too
• We had olives to start which were great and then I had the macaroni cheese and it was lovely
• Since Christmas is approaching
• I noticed that there are only three customers who looked like regular visit ones
• Red chili hummus with warm pitta bread and side salad (5.5 pounds
• I think it is the best salad dressing I have had in Edinburgh
• Quite fresh with little sweetness
• Personally I love chewy warm pitta bread accompanied with cold hummus in cold weathers because it not only keeps you stomach warm but also enrich the taste of hummus
• A friend rang and asked whether I was around for a coffee
• A few people have mentioned Cafe Nom De Plume (New Town) before and since it was on my bucket list for Edinburgh I was there in a heartbeat
• Ordered the hot mulled ginger wine and am very glad I did as it was cold and miserable outside
• I visited this restaurant tonight with 2 friends and had a lovely dinner
• Homely and cozy and all the waiting staff were very friendly
• They have a great menu the theme seemed to be comfort food with plenty of vegan
• I had the chicken korma and rice for my main course which was very tasty and a decent portion size
• Neeps and tatties and the macaroni cheese which both looked good and they said they were very tasty
• I then got the gluten free carrot cake for dessert which was totally delicious
