Blackfriars Restaurant (Old Town)

• I later find that the temperature is set to Australian temperature
• Blackfriars Bar and Restaurant is located just off the Royal Mile in the premises that used to be Black Bo&rsquo
• Onions and greens paired with a beer named Modus Operandi made with wild yeast and oak aged
• Small dishes are served &ndash
• Pink fir apple potatoes served with their own chorizo sounds so good
• Mr EF and I are dining in the restaurant
• It was one of those menus that was difficult to choose from
• Arnaise Sauce and is bowled over by the flavour and quality of the meat
• S cooked medium rare as requested and is juicy and delicious
• I plump for pheasant served with pearl barley
• I rather wished I had not tucked into my game terrine starter with so much gusto
• I tried the Frangelico affogato and Mr EF quince and pear tart with honey granita
• Blackfriars is the sort of place you&rsquo
• A friendly welcome with delicious food cooked with passion with something nice to sup on the side
• The food and service were satisfactory but for the price you pay for the food I don&rsquo
• To start I had the lamb sausage which was nice while my friend had cheese on toast with chorizo
• Her starter sounded quite strange but it was actually quite nice
• My main I had sea trout with mussels which was quite nice but there wasn&rsquo
• Super tourist obviously but the food is outta this world
• Fried egg and toast with capers and shallots
• The main was Game sausage roll with potatoes and green and finished off with Churros
• It was my first time having Churros and i loved them but they were a little heavy for me so i swapped with my dining companion for his Frangelico Affgato
• With food that is unfussy and tasty&rsquo
• S your scene so it is well worth arriving early for some pre dinner drinks
