The Pink Giraffe (Oxford)

• It was especially so due to how warmly renowned the eatery is amongst both the denizens of Oxford
• This looks like one place where part of the experience of the place is the decor and location itself
• One of the known aspects of the Pink Giraffe is that any of their dishes can have the meat be substituted with soya meat or tofu
• Since the guest coming over was vegetarian
• Every dish was given that aforementioned treatment
• This sauce has a combination of Thai and Chinese flavours it is essentially a fusion dish
• Some bean curd was selected as an order
• A slight bit of sweetness along with the flavours of herbs and vegetables creating a complex array of flavours in the dish
• Some other dishes which were ordered included the stir fried broccoli in garlic sauce and the vermicelli noodles with beansprouts and onion
• Both of these were relatively simple dishes
• The broccoli dish was well sauteed with infusions of fragrant garlic
• The mock meat is utilised really well here
• That I had to be told that both the sweet and sour chicken and satay chili pork were both fake meat
• The tofu was well cooked and the sauce was thick and heavy with the vegetables
• Therefore there was not a necessity to have leftovers or more so no chance of leftovers
• One of my favourite places to eat in Oxford this restaurant is not breathtaking to look at but the food is always really good
