Fishers Restaurant (Oxford)

• Is noted for its frequent use of actual fresh seafood is a joy to go to with innovation in their dishes
• I went here with a group for an early bird special 2 or 3 courses for a set price (with additional surcharges on certain items) between specific times
• The starter was house cured salmon
• With the main being hake with a side stew and sticky toffee pudding for dessert
• The starter of house cured salmon was delicious with a spicy infusion in the flesh I thought it might be wasabi
• Was a cucumber salad which was very refreshing against the spicy flavour
• As for the starter the hake it was magnificent
• The flesh was sweet and soft falling apart with the prick of a fork
• All combined well with unique flavours to each other though not really for mixing with the actual fish
• Finishing off the meal was the toffee pudding
• It was topped off with a butterscotch sauce with a dollop of cream of the side
• Both flavours were distinctive and not too sweet

• The seafood is very fresh and the meals are generous in portions enough to fill you up but far from cloying
