Zizzi Ristorante (Canary Wharf)

• Very good value for money with the tastecard
• If you do manage to get a table with a commanding view of Thames
• The service is often slow
• Zizzi in Canary Wharf is a fantastic Italian restaurant the beautiful riverside view differentiates it from the other Zizzi's
• The Tomato/Pesto bread and dough sticks are my favorite starters
• They serve wholemeal base pizza as well which are quite good
• We had the risotto balls with chilli sauce and Bruscheeta for starters absolutely delicious
• The tomato/pesto bread and bruschetta are lovely starters
• We had the chocolate fondue cake with ice cream very rich
• Overall a nice casual dining experience with a beautiful riverside setting
• Though stay away from the dough sticks because that is what exactly it says sticks made out of plain dough
• You can't go wrong with any of their pasta Penne alla Vodka
• Try the superfood salad if you are watching your calorie intake
• With plenty of options that are consistently delicious
• What does not go down well is the service
• Hot weather has been so rare lately you forget how nice it is sitting outside for a meal
• The location of this branch of Zizi is particularly good when the weather is favourable
• There is also plenty of activity along the riverside path outside the restaurant with lunchtime joggers everywhere
• There were about 10 of us and among the numerous dishes we ordered were the spaghetti zucchine
• Creme fraiche and mozzarella on one half with a huge chilli kick to it
• Beautifully presented and tasty with its courgette ribbons and riserva cheese combined with a creamy saffron sauce
• The spicy piccante chicken in a creamy sauce with fresh tomato and baby spinach came with a massive chilli draped over it
• Also from their rustic style pizza menu was a mix of spicy chicken
• The chicken was ripped up lumps of chicken
• So it's obviously doing good business and the clientele were no riff raff either
• Everything was cooked to perfection
• The restaurant was beautifully set up
• One of my favourite things was the amount of sharers it had for appetisers
• As a self professed meat lover this choice was quite uncommon for me but i was not the least disappointed
• They were very welcoming though the service was quite slow at times
• Fresh salad with a bottle of sparkling water can be a perfect lunch
• Pollo prosciutto and it was all quite delicious
• Olives were bad but the garlic bread with mozarella was amazing
• I tried the calzone pollo and the calabrese rustica pizza which were sublime too
• An awesome view to the river with the Shard in the landscape
• This italian restaurant was the perfect place for a dinner with friends
• We started with the arancini and the fried calamari
• The calamari were the best starter
• Thin crust and with fresh tasty toppings
• The service was very quick and the food very good
• The prices were reasonable
• It has a terrace which is pleasant (but also crowded) in summer
• We had the fried calamari (we had to add lots of salt as they weren't seasoned at all but they weren't bad and came with a basil mayonnaise and a little salad)
• We then went for pasta both my wife's simple spaghetti pomodoro and my nduja linguine were good Zizzi is a safe place for a quick pasta dish
• The service was friendly and prompt
• Both me and my husband are pizza lovers and that's the main reason for choosing zizi
• We ordered for a thin crust pizza (spicy pollo roquito) though a small portion yet it was very filling
• For starters (fritto misto) the fried calamari and king prawns came with a basil mayonnaise and few salad
• The service was almost non existent
• Having an allergen menu was a big deal
• The spaghetti bolognese pasta was out of the world and is just the correct amount when you are a bit hungry
• The restaurant here is located by the Thames at canary wharf and the location is very beautiful
• I also had a chance to taste it's dessert section which is very tasty too
• Also tasted their pizza which although was veg was quite tasty
• I had their calzone which was full of cheesy goodness
• The best part of the meal was the vanilla pannacotta

• I had the coppa funghi pizza with thinner rustica base
• A little odd that mozarella is replaced by egg
• Best looking meal was the guy who ordered sea bream with potatoes and green beans
• The atmosphere is lively and cool
• The service is great and staff on point
• Our server recommended some hot freshly baked bread along with a burrata salad
• The weather was great and we sat outside and enjoyed the pier view
