Zilouf's (Islington)

• The cocktails here are real nice and the atmosphere/decor in the place is always very pleasing
• The food menu is not as extensive as it can be and the vegetarian choices are very very limited
• Overall the food quality is quite good and all the stuff on menu is pretty well done
• It's a good place for for dinner with friends pre the upper street pub crawl
• Stumbled on Zilouf's (Islington) purely out of luck and was very happy with the food really nice Asian/Brit fusion
• Rather than the 'what are you even doing here' kind of cool
• I think it is more successful as a bar
• The bar section has a relaxed and sophisticated appeal and is kitted out with high tables and chairs
• Happy hour is from 5 to 7 which means you get two for one on their list of extensive cocktails
• My favourite of which is Hendricks punch which is lovely and light
• The only thing lacking from the drinks selection is draft beer
• So probably not the kind of boozer you would choose if you were craving a pint anyway
• The dining area is nicely decorated with lovely hanging lampshades and mismatched wall paper and paintings which give it a staged kind of rugged charm
• My favourite is the Bubbley Peche cocktail
• ' First round was a Margarita
• Second round was mainly Hoxton 100s
• The tapas style small plates were perfect for sharing
• The dishes we chose were a selection of mouth watering plates
• All modern with an Asian fusion theme
• As did the triple cooked chips with mustard aioli
• Head out for the rest of the evening with tingling tongues
• 2015 Ziloufs is an all day venue serving breakfast
• It keeps it simple mostly with a selection of fresh fruit drinks
• A curve ball with veggiemite on the menu
• In particular we were drawn by their newly updated set menu 2 courses for £
• We booked it but there was no need for it as there were lot of free room
• The food is nice and exotic and although it was not outstanding it was good
