Gilgamesh (Camden Town)

• The venue itself is big and impressive
• The decor is also very interesting and it is an enjoyable place to be
• Its slightly on the pricey side but the experience is definitely something to be had at least once
• Parking in the area is also very problematic
• The whole get up is very attractive and eye catching
• The decor is certainly over the top with larger than life paintings
• The food quality is very good but it doesn't come cheap
• The fish on the main course was probably the best thing we ordered on the table but you are looking at forking out £
• I seen it toptable and there was 50% off so decided to try it out
• The service was just great
• Lime wasabi salmon with creme fraiche
• Tempura black cod with soba noodles
• Everything was a perfect palette
• The prawn spring rolls is how prawn spring rolls SHOULD look and taste
• The sticky rice was a little over cooked and the Fiji water was over priced
• This 520 seat space is representative of a high topped steel buffet tent at an army camp than a cosy restaurant you&rsquo
• Instead it emphasis the fact that they are only one person in a restaurant that has to cater for over 500 people &ndash
• Not only is the management of space an instant turn off but so is what they have put in it
• The table are so big and bulky that there is no leg room or space to move and get up from the table
• The only window looks out towards a train track with constant freight trains trudging past
• Pomegranate Rice Paper Rolls and Green Papaya and Mango Salad with Chilli and Lime dressing were both missing any kind of chilli and were unbearably sweet
• My main course was a Thai Red Curry with Organic Parsnip
• The half price deal which seems to be available all the time is definitely more appealing the £
• The amount of food provided is good but the quality definitely isn&rsquo
• This may be because the kitchen is cooking these dishes is large vats en masse for the 500 diners they can hold in the restaurant in one sitting
• My only hope now is that the a la carte menu is 500 times better than the set menu
• They are just made for the day to have dim sum with either family or friends
• Every inch was luxuriously detailed with the WOW factor
• Drinking the ice cold beverage was the perfect way to help cool off from the summers heat
• A big maze with many rooms
• The drinks were good and there are plenty of spaces to be seared
• I visited this restaurant earlier this year with my boyfriend Michael
• The occasion was rather exciting as I was meeting his close friends that I had never met before and a hopeful business partner
• We had been informed about the reservations and had never heard of Gilgamesh before and so when we arrived we were definitely in for a surprise
• As soon as we stepped foot onto the escalators and into the reception we were in awe of the location
• Once we had sat and taken our surroundings in we were greeted by Michael's friends
• The place was young and vibrant with incredible decor and furnishings and a mouthwatering smell of the oriental food
• The friend of Michael's who had made the reservation was certainly an entertainer
• Its the drinks that are expensive)
• Fast paced and the setting was more than you could ever have imagined
• I genuinely feel that this restaurant is worth the experience
• I also feel that when busy (which is most of the time) you could be rushed out of the restaurant ready for the next booking due to high demand
• This restaurant is great to eat out late
• Inside the decor is decadent with an eastern flavour throughout
• The cocktails are really good here
• I opted for my usual whisky sour and iit was light with a crisp citrus edge to it
• The sushi was delicious with the flavours well balanced and the rice itself was cooked perfectly
• The prawns were meaty and cooked just right
• We finished with the peking duck
• As a main I had the Thai Green Chicken Curry not the most creative choice but I was glad as it's one of my favourites to date
• I am still impressed how it is always incredibly busy
• The entrance is slightly dingy
• You are exposed to a vibrant atmosphere with a great crowd
• I would recommend Gilgamesh as it is combines great atmosphere
• The restaurant is absolutely stunning
• Again however the prices are expensive for what you get
• Lukily the food is also very good however it's also very dear
• My favourite dish is the miso black cod
• The slow reveal of the venue as you take the escalator is brilliant and is just incredible to think that it exists above the street food stalls just outside
• The duck and watermelon salad is a particular high point
• You can feel the cozy and friendly atmosphere Gilgamesh (Camden Town) offer you with its kind and helpful services and its marvelous food
• The Restaurant is located in the Camden town area with closest tubes stations Kentish Town and Camden Town
• The service is unbelievably quick and the food is always delicious
• The sweet potato curry was extremely pleasing in taste
• The food was also great and the cocktails were simply outstanding

• The set up is outstanding and I have never visited such a place in London ever

• The atmosphere pretty relaxed all the time and you can try their tikki if you are planning to visit sometime
• Probably the place is only meant for dinners and we should have chosen some place else to spend our evening

• This is a good place if one is planning to host a party for about 100 300 people

• The staff didn't explain the dishes properly and the wine was left on the table unopened

• Especially wasabi and salad which were of very poor quality

• Plonked it in front of me and walked off lol it was the saddest happy birthday I had encountered and definitely dont recommend Gilgamesh for your birthday
• The pannacotta was nice though lol
• The service was poor in the extreme and very slow
• When I phoned to convey certain issues I had the staff were rude and flippant which prompted me to write this review
• The restaurant is a canvas for cultural art
• Colours and carvings and is known by pretty much every person I speak too
• Comfy leather clad booths dominate the window area with views over the Stables Market
• While us voucher bearing clients get to sit centre stage on dark oak tables with a slightly suspicious motif (if you squint sideways and cover certain parts
• Gilgamesh's menu is quite extensive
• Its pan Asian theme is carefully selected for the set menu
• We started with cocktails which were fruity and icy
• Though on checking the drinks menu there were many classics and much champagne as well as an extensive wine list
• To start I ordered the crispy chicken wings with a kimchi glaze and crispy garlic
• I couldn't resist using my fingers and gnawing on the bones (luckily they had anticipated this and there was a finger bowl at the ready)
• Himself ordered crispy baby squid with a teensy amount of sweet soy sauce
• The tempura batter was crispy and the squid
• A choice of four seafood jungle curry and baby spatchcock chicken with miso dressing won out
• The jungle curry was like a thick Thai green curry
• The chicken with miso tasted a little bland and unexciting
• Another table had a chocolate brownie always a good choice but our cheesecake with lime sorbet and yuzu tarts were
• The decor and location (and potential celeb clientele) is the real draw
• So go along and dine in a Babylon esqe palace with whatever vouchers you can find
• Once with a Groupon voucher which was great value
• This meal is best taken when you're so down and the hunger rate is very high
• Me this is the best club in London
• Interior decors is very Persian stylish plus great music
• Had my bday party here with like 30 others
• Being a Japanese folflover I'm so glad that I got to try Gilgamesh (Camden Town) which was full of amazing Japanese cuisine and totally drooling over it
• The decor and food is breathtaking
• We had exotic dancers with snakes come to our table which I thought was amazing
• You felt the staff were taking time to make sure you were happy
• The decor of restaurants is amazing and best dishes is sushi
