  • My friend had been with workmates and had loved it

  • We'd made a reservation as the Pie Room is only small and gets full quickly

  • Deciding which of the pies to choose was tricky but we soon narrowed it down by excluding those with a potato topping (fish and cottage pie) and then choosing to go for a proper crust

  • Once in a blue moon one of them comes over and is in need of a good British experience

  • Puff pastry is nice and fragrant
