The Winchester (Islington)

• The service was absolutely terrible and the food wasn't much better
• At one point we had to order the same round of drinks 3 times before they were actually made
• The staff really didn't seem to care and when we complained we were told a manager would be in after 4pm but that manager never arrived
• We were told the sunday beef was cooked medium rare/medium but it was horribly over done
• Half the party including a pregnant woman ate their food without drinks and when we asked for them to be taken off the bill we were told they would only remove soft drinks
• When the table was booked online no one from the pub called us to confirm as indicated
• This is a pub which is only after your money and doesn't give a hoot about customer service
• I came to the Winchester last Saturday with some friends as we needed a place to cure our hangovers
• The atmosphere was just what we needed chilled out music and friendly
• The Winchester (Islington) is great for relaxing with friends and I recommend trying the burger coma for yourself
• Only problem I would say is that there is nothing telling others that it's a hired space
• The downstairs dance floor is open til 4am at weekends and attracts a very random
• The Sunday roasts are not something to be loved
• Went here yesterday for a Sunday session and was very tempted by the 2 for 1 roasts
• My friend had lamb which mostly was made up of chewy fat
• The decor to the place is seriously cool as well
• In classic islington style there are all sorts of retro pieces of furniture and cool artwork
• I didn't try any of the cocktails as it was a little early in the day but the list did look so good that I'll make an effort to head back there for an evening
• Sunday roast here is two for £
• Have also been here for a drink on a Friday night and was good fun think you have to pay £
